Senior midfielder Michael Palardy closed the scoring when he intercepted a pass for a breakaway goal in the 42nd minute.

Keeping himself busy I see.

He is a kicker. Soccer is the best thing for him.

The fact that he stayed firm to TN through the coaching changes makes him even more of a special player. Just think....he will only get better as a kicker. :)

I just wanted to let you know that I have appreciated you keeping us updated on MP this year...didn't you have a son that played on the same team?...go VOLS!

Glad I could help out! He's a great kid. from a great family. My son also plays soccer with him. My son will be competing for a kicking job next high school season.

As a side bar...Story has it, Palardy wore a Tenn color tie at his signing, and the tie was given to him by a couple from Tenn that were being married by one of the parish priests in the parish that Palardy attends. I think the groom wore it in the wedding. Good luck to the Vols next season.

Best wishes that your son does well. Hopefully we can see him in Knoxville in a few years.

Glad to hear we've got some Vol fans representing well. Hopefully your son can establish himself as the next up and coming kicker and follow Michael up to UT. Wouldn't hurt to establish a pipeline from STA so we can take advantage of the kicker farm you obviously have in Ft. Lauderdale. Good luck to your son!

I think the NYT has found a lead for their next UT "recruiting violation" scandal.

It really is sad that, in today's climate of cross-examination and scruitinization of everything that anyone in the pulic eye says or does, a rag newspaper like the NYT is more interested in UT's alleged minor recruiting infractions than what Washington DC perpetrates on the American public on a daily basis...pathetic and sad. Sorry, wrong forum.

doesn't surprise me at all...there are Tennessee fans all around this great country...once again, Thank You for all the information and maybe we'll see your son on the Hill in a few years...oh by the GBO!

Man I wish I could be at Neyland for the UT-Martin game. If Palardy puts it in the endzone and we get a touchback on the first play of the season, that place will ERUPT

(sad how low the bar is on special teams that even a touchback gets me excited)

lol, sadly this is kind of true. I'd be excited to see one go in the endzone. :birgits_giggle:

Hate to say it right now guys but he may have some competition with the transfer from AP. He looked really good in the O&W game.
