Scout published Special Team stats for 2009:

- Eleventh in kickoff coverage at 39.0 net yards.

- Dead last in field-goal kicking at 61.9 percent (13 of 21).

Palardy can win us some games......Did we ever kick the ball in the end zone last year? I don't recall we did.:)

That has to be conference standings. No way we were 11th in anything with more than 12 teams. In fact, not being 12th is a mite surprising.

The only time we kicked in in the end zone was when shankapotomus (aka Daniel Lincoln) was attempting a field goal from beyond 35 yards. Then it usually ended up short in the end zone. :)

Man this kid is my favorite of the class so every time his page pops up I get really nervous.I hope he is the game changer that I think he is.

couldnt be a worse than wamp or haslam:lolabove:

You know, I don't get that. From everything I've read and heard being up here, Haslam is a great guy. You know he didn't take a salary as Mayor of Knoxville? And did you know when the economy went bad he personally sent out letters to every city employee telling them they would still have a job? I mean hey, I don't have a dog in the fight, I'm not officially a Tennessee resident, but that's more than my mayor ever did for us.

Palardy loves the competition! He will make everyone better. He comes from a program that is not used to and does not like to lose. When we bring in kids from programs like this, our program can't help but get better. I saw him kick a couple of weekends ago, a bit of a tailwind...KO's into and out of the endzone in the deep corner. Doesn't get any better than that. FG's right down the middle from 50 and 55 with room to spare. He wasn't punting, but pick up a couple of balls from the opposite side forty, punted them down to the endzone with hang times that were forever! It should be a real treat to watch him perform for UT.

wow if you are serious man we will be in for a treat :salute:

It is going to be a treat to see kickoffs go into the endzone and field goals through the uprights for sure.

How sad is that?!

not off topic too much, but the Bowden punter from Virginia Tech owned us during the chicken bowl last New Years. The kicking game is very important whether punts, field goals or kickoffs..

I am serious...will he have off moments and will all KO end up in end zone, probably not, but I have watched this kid for several years now, and he is steady and consistent. He will be in and around the end zone most of the time. When he is on, he is amazing! More improtantly, he doesn't get rattled by the situation or moment. He takes all things in stride, you won't see him pump his fist, or shout at the stands...he does his job and runs off the field. No fanfare or hoopla. Just does what he is suppose to do. Perfect demeanor for a kicker.
