we need Jones and Luc in the worst way. the lack of athletes on our defense was glaring today.

Our defense isn't used to tackling someone as small and quick as McCluster and it showed today. His speed really showed up our defense today, but they didn't tackle him well when they had the chance either.

We were in good shape prior to his visit to Knoxville. We have the best chance of landing him right now.

Not only do we have the legend Monte Kiffin... he became a legend in the state that is arguably home to the best/most prospects. Texas and Cali are up there.. I'd probably rank them Florida Texas Cali but either way its nice he became a legend in the state of Florida.

Anyone remember when Christian was here on his visit and he was hangin out with Corey, Brandon, and Jacques? Those guys alluded to the fact that he could be a Vol soon if I remember correctly.............if not my apologies.

the frontrunner: Florida state. The family ties to the seminoles' program are strong and like dunkley to florida, it's hard to imagine jones heading anywhere but tallahassee to play college football. With that, it's not as much of a lock as it may have been because jones is going to watch the defensive coordinator search at fsu very carefully.

Watch out for: Tennessee or florida. The vols and gators seem to have the best shot at potentially springing the upset here, but again, it would be a stunner if jones heads elsewhere.

No way that Jones comes to UF. That would be like a UT legacy going to Bama.

To skip out on the legacy thing would be bad enough....but to sign with the enemy would get you off the xmas list and even taken out of a will.

Same reason Elam would never go to UT.

Or as crazy as, say, Chaz Green going to Florida?

Elam would go to UT, but he most likely won't. It's not like he'd never even think about it...

Jones to UF is a little different, being that Florida and FSU both offer him alot of similar things, while UT offers a different environment and a very, very thin LB corps filled with opportunity for freshmen LBs...

Oy vey.

Chaz lives 100 miles from Gainesville and had said UF was his leader from the start. It wasn't crazy to think he would go to UF.

Matt Elam has known Meyer since he was 10 and has been committed to UF for a year. If there is a reason that he doesn't want to be at UF, he can find other places beside UT to find it.

Same with Jones, if he doesn't want to go to FSU, he can find what he wants somewhere other UF.

It's a good bet that these kids won't make a decision that puts them at odds with people who are important to them.

I agree that Elam will have a tough time putting a long relationship with CUM to the side. I think this Riley attitude issue that Elam has is being fabricated. As far as this thread on Jones, great talent and think its an open recruitment. UT seems to be still in it for Green and Jones.
