'10 FL LB/DL Christian Jones

I think Jones ends up at FSU. It will be an absolute battle, but I think loyalty wins out in the end. FSU is about to completely reorganize their defensive staff. It will depend on the trust and relationship Jones develops with them. On signing day, I think he's a nole. I had these feelings before, but a Nole insider just confirmed them on rivals.
I don't think so. Monte Kiffins thumbprints are all over this recruiting class, and it's going to be extremely tough to take a recruit away from him.

I think word is going to get out in the offseason, how much NFL pull/connections Monte has. His former associates are going to want to come see his boys, while visiting him...remember the old addage..."It's not so much WHAT you know as it is WHO you know."

Isn't he visiting Bama soon? I don't think he really fits their scheme..but whatever.

I'm confident about him though. He and Luc are Monte's guys to lose...and I wouldn't bet against him losing them. Could get dicey though if FSU hires a solid defensive staff.

I don't feel good about this guy at all right now just a gut feeling I think he will always be a Nole.

77 thinks we land Luc and Jones in the end.

Monte won't, but he should probably win recruiter of the year just for those two guys alone.

Whenever FSU gets a new staff together, Jones is going to be their #1 priority. His dad and his brother both played at FSU. His brother now works in the AD at FSU. I think we lead now, but it is going to be VERY difficult to pull him when it really comes down to it. If anyone can do it, I think it is Monte...

He's a LB.

And this guy's clone..

"It was a good game atmosphere. The fans really support their team. It's a real special place. The defense looked good. Alabama looked a little confused when LSU did the hurry up. They figured it out and pulled out the win."

"They are definitely one of my top schools," Jones said. "I am looking at them really hard. They are a program I like a lot. It’s a really good place. They have a lot of tradition and history. They have a history of winning. They have real good coaches. You can't go wrong."

Per Scout... He took an official to Bama this past weekend and these were his thoughts. When you compare them to what he said about UT, it doesn't sound like Bama is much of a factor...

IMO, Bama is 4th behind UT, FSU, and Miami. Da U has supposedly been charging hard but he really likes the idea of playing under Monte. This will be a business decision for him and, if he feels that UT will provide him the best chance to make it to the next level, he will be a Vol. If FSU makes the right changes, he will be a Nole.

Not too worried about Bama. They have solid LB depth plus I think he'd be better suited for a 4-3 at this point.
Naw at LB i think he is better suited for the 3-4. I just have a feeling he will be a DE in a short period of time if he chooses Tenn.

Kindle plays DE this year, but he was previously a 3 year starter at OLB. Athleticism-wise, he and Jones are a lot alike...that's the reason I made the reference.

I still think Jones is better suited for a 4-3. His size/speed combo is incredible. Would be a great asset in coverage and off the edge. He'll play DE in the NFL if he makes it there because he'll probably out-grow the LB position...a la Sergio Kindle.

Just think of the blitz packages Monte could dial up with Jones and Luc in the same LB corps..

He won't have to. Heck, our base package with our DTs, DEs and Luc and Jones will be scary enough.:)

No actually he didn't start into his junior year, and before that he was considered an underachiever.
