I would say for sure by then. Hopefully they name him soon, in the next week or 2. I've heard the week before christmas but who knows...

I would love to have Jones, and Luc for that matter, wearing the Orange and White next year. But if it's not going to be us, I'd rather it be FSU than UF or any other SEC school

that's how I feel. theres like 99.5% chance FSU and TN won't play in the next 4 years anyway. Might as well have them outside of conference/rivals if our respective schools cant have em

53 says the vibe around his area (Orlando) is that we'll get Jones. Just a vibe; nothing at all concrete.

He also says he was an assistant bball coach at USF for 4 years and that's where his connections come from. Pretty legit sources I'd say.

You can only take the word of a 17 or 18 yo kid at face value unless he has given you reason not to. IDK how much creditability any of the supposed insiders have but it is very easy for a kid to change his mind in a second. No one is all Vol until they sign that LOI.

Don't try to discredit 53 because of Luc.

It's been said by tons of people, including Mike Ferrell, that Luc was all Vol and then something drastic/shady happened. 53 doesn't look for the 'e-cred' and doesn't seem to sugarcoat what he hears to sound more connected. He obviously has good sources and posts what he hears and when he hears it.

And like I said, it's just a 'vibe' at the moment. Things will really start to heat up with Jones once FSU fills out their staff....and there will be absolutely nothing set in stone with him until that happens.

Christian won an award this week:
The Orlando Touchdown Club honored Lake Nona junior QB Kevin Sousa and Lake Howell senior LB/DE Christian Jones as its offensive and defensive players of the year in a ceremony on Monday night.
Jones, the defensive award winner, had 126 total tackles this season and 68 solo tackles. He also played offense and rushed for almost five yards per carry and passed for two touchdowns. He also was the team’s punter with a 37-yard average. He is ranked No. 1 in the Sentinel’s Central Florida Top 100 for 2010 college recruits.
