'10 FL RB Gio (Giovanni) Bernard

If you feel that's the case, then there's no way Gran would give up Florida 500 miles away to be 1,000 or more.

I think it helps us, but Texas and the Midwest are a hotbed of athletes. In my opinion Gran could recruit any area, his reputation as a coach and recruiter is stellar and IMO Texas is as good as Florida as far as talent goes and Gran wouldn't necessarily have to give up Florida.

I think it will all depend on his current happiness and relationship with Tubby.

I don't want to lose anyone on this staff, but if I had my druthers I'd like to see Gran named the "OC in waiting" (if there were such a title) once Cheney leaves. And I do feel that Cheney is HC material with more options. (since he's been in the Big 10, NFL, and the SEC).

I think Gio is my favorite running back in this class. He is upper tier, and one who could easily make a difference. I definitely see a possible commitment from him. I hope so anyways. Him or Keon Williams.

Bryce, David, Toney, Tauren, and Giovanni at RB?
Nick Stephens and Tyler Bray at QB?
Nukeese, GJones, Teague, Zach and MAYBE Austin Rogers, Ambles, Milton, Meline, and MAYBE Cobbs and Stills at Wide Receiver?
Delvin Jones and Luke Stocker at Tight End?

Wipe up the drool...amazing.

too bad you need linemen in the SEC or noone could touch us! :)

ummm, just stating that is where we are going to be light depth chart and talent wise and without tbe hogs up front, those skill guys wont be world beaters. We need the OLs and I am confident we will get them.

I thought you were making a statement about our current OL not being up to the task. I agree we need some hogs, yesterday.

Don't forget about Douglas, Thomas, Schofield, Hood, Revis, and Anderson. They are all freshmen. And Pope is a sophmore. We will have a loaded OL in a couple of years...

Tubbs isn't going to Miami. I don't even know if Tubbs will get back into the SEC, let alone the South. Not sure what the future holds for him.

Well the key word in my previous post was "IF" and there were a few of them. I don't know what the future holds for Tubby either. I guess we will have to cross that bridge when we get to it.

lol

Do you really think Gran would think twice to an OC offer? I have heard several people mention Tubby to A&M and if he wants a top recruiter he will go after Gran and offer him the OC job or at least Asst OC to get him. Gran would be foolish to settle as a position coach just so he can stay close to Florida. I dont think his ultimate goal in life is to be a Florida recruiter but I could be wrong.

“It was a really good visit,” Bernard told InsideTennessee.com. “I got the chance to meet all the coaching staff; I got the opportunity to visit with a lot of the current team.”

“I didn’t realize how great this coaching staff is,” Bernard said. “This one of the most talented staffs in the country, their chemistry and unity is great.”

“The game was a heartbreaker,” Bernard explained. “I really thought they should have won the game. The fan base is beyond amazing, we had great seats. Wow what an experience.”

“I really like them a lot,” Bernard said. “They are definitely one of my top schools right now. There is something that really intrigues me about Tennessee.”

Per Scout... He also says that him and Palardy are really good friends...

Bernard will visit Oregon State this weekend and Notre Dame next month.
"Everything about the Tennessee visit was just awesome," Bernard said. The atmosphere was amazing. I loved the Vol walk. The coaches are great and very down to earth. The area (Knoxville) is beautiful. That was my first time there. I can definitely fit into their scheme. They run zone and iso and I think I fit into their system real well."

"I am kind of down on Miami and Florida. I mean I am starting to doubt them. I have lost the connection with Florida and with Miami I don't get that college feel. Plus, I kind of want to get away from home."

Per Rivals...

Funny...He doesn't even have an offer from UF.

It wouldn't surprise me though, if the guy it ends up being is someone way up on their board that we don't see coming.
