It's one source. He is VERY close to the Recruiting process at UT. I talk to him once or twice a year and today I had a good talk with him. It's not like Im posting any news on commitments. I'm posting straight from his mouth. Believe me or not but this info is 100% TRUTH.

It seems that Rees has already told them thanks, but no thanks. He is making every effort to EE at ND regardless of who the coach is.

May be true, I don't know. All I know is the staff has now turned their attention moreso to Bernard and Hendrix than Rees.

I wouldn't. I have been telling people for a long time that Rees is going to be at Notre Dame and if there is any chance of stealing one of their QBs it would be Hendrix.

What I am struggling with is why anyone that close to the UT departement would think we would go after Bernard. We have bigger fish on the line and have already passed on Gio.

Again take my info for what its worth, but it's from someone who works in the complex and is very much involved in recruiting. He said the coaches were excited that Weis was gone because that meant they could "raid Notre Dame for guys like Bernard and Hendrix".

we still pursue everyone that we want...

However, since poole is here to stay.. i am not sure if we take one.

Darkwa looks like a decent pick up if we really want a RB and cant get a top-notch guy.

If Poole indeed stays then we're in pretty good shape this year for RBs if there's a better use for the scholly. Williams will be RS Freshman we'll have Brown, Oku as Sophs and Poole as jnr or RS soph?

I can't wait to see Williams tote the rock. I think he is the kind of back that defenders will hate to have contact with in the 3rd & 4th qtr.

I agree with ya 777. He was right up there for the #2 RB before he tore his ACL. He looked like a beast in the O&W game too. He is a good power back. Now what i am hoping for is that we land the Clark kid from Dwyer. He can work in Nukes vacated roll and work as a skat back.
