"It wasn't anything personal against Alabama and Coach Saban. Blake loves Coach Saban. He will always love Alabama no matter what," said Sims's father, Sonny Sims. "It was just more of a matter of where he fits in and the offense Alabama plays. We really don't know where he would fit in with Alabama.
Rivals.. ^^"There are some other schools that may make more sense to Blake right now. Alabama is still in it. They are a possibility. We just want to make sure it is the right fit."
Per Scout:
Sims did not really know where he would play in Tuscaloosa and just how he would fit in there under Saban. He didnt know if he would play offense or defense and he favors one side of the ball a lot more than the other.
Alabama is a defensive-minded team and I want to be a part of an offense somewhere, he said. I just want to get the ball and have a chance to make plays.
As a senior, he threw for 2,288 yards and 28 touchdowns and rushed for 863 yards and 13 more touchdowns.
He wants to play offense, and wherever he ends up he will be because that is what they tell him he will play.
Who would you see him replacing at WR out of our '10 recruits? Or would we seriously be considering taking this many WR in this class???
I don't think the staff cares what position he plays right now. They just know he is a player. We are just stocking up on athletes and speed, and letting the pieces fall where they may. It's exactly what Orgeron did at Ole Miss in Meat Market...
Simms dad has left alot of wiggle room on this de-commit. After reading story on TOS he sounds like Bama is still his leader...

I am very interested in how it all plays out.
We are in the running for so many players. How in the world will we squeeze them all in.
