He was at our camp and has shown stellar speed and athleticism. Kiffin loves the guy. He knows that he won't play QB in the college ranks, but he will be able become a great athlete at WR, kick return, punt return, etc.
We are trying to improve the speed on our team. This kid is being recruited very hard by Mark Richt himself. He must be pretty darn good.
The fact that we will take another WR (that isn't named Prater) makes me worry that we don't stand as well as we hope we do with recruiting other positions. Of course we are going to lose some guys that will make a bit of room, but pushing for him at WR just surprises me (unless we tell him we want him for O and move him D). He could add a dynamic at PR. He runs a 4.5 40, so it isn't like he has absolutely blazing speed for KR.
Well if we're going to use him in the wildcat role I'd take a true QB who knows how to pass instead of a RB/WR. A QB with good speed and a good arm can be deadly in the wildcat slot.
"Tennessee told Blake they would pretty much give him the kitchen sink as far as his involvement with their offense and ways they would get him the ball," said Sims. "They are really working to get Blake to take an official visit. They really just came on real strong in the last month or two." Wonder who else he is telling this to??? LOL:good!:
