'10 GA ATH Da'Rick Rogers

I'd be surprised if it's not Tenn at this point. Not after he's visited two weeks in a row, one through a snow storm. He was seen cheering for the vols at the bball game. He seemed like he loved it here. Heck, he kissed our NC trophy.

I think driving from Atlanta to Knoxville 2 weekends in a row is a little more serious than him wanting to "milk his recruitment"... there is legitimate interest people.

Especially this last weekend with the snow. Everyone that made it through that I think has an interest. I thought there was no chance for Ambles until the effort he put in to make the trip. Making the trip right before the quiet period going int NSD also sways the recruits UTs way I believe.

NSD is two days away, he wants to announce then. I know first hand if you want to keep a secret don't tell extended family. So the stories of a friend of a friend or family at this point can't be trusted either way.

I think that both Rogers and Ambles are wanting to go to UT. The question is: can they hold up for two days against the locals? My guess is that Ambles can. The only question is, will he just want to do something to "shock the world?" With Rogers, I wonder if he is more easily swayed. I just hope he stays with the Nance family until he signs.

In the end, both will probably sign with UT, but there is definitely no guarantee with either. Such is our situation at Tennessee and recruiting out-of-state players.

Ambles doesn't have to deal with in-state pressure, unless there happens to be an unusually large contingent of USC fans in McDonough, GA that we don't know about. UGA never even offered Ambles.

Damn you guys need to be put in a recruiting rehab house for a month or two.. Just kidding. My cell phone stopped working yesterday morning so I have not spoke to anyone since Sat. I am going now to get a new one and I will see if there is any news I can tell you. Be back later.

If Rogers has his choice, it will be UT. That said he may end up at UGA because of pressure coming from those close to him.

Man, you don't have to tell me.

THAT is true dedication...getting a new cell phone just to update VN on recruiting news! You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar! :hi:

Da'Rick,
Follow your heart to Tennessee.
Be on the receiving end of fifty yard bombs from Tyler Bray (or Nance). :)
Dance on the checkerboard endzones.
Sing Rocky Top between the Hedges in '10.
Get drafted in the first round.
And then catch more fifty yard bombs from a fella named Manning.
Sincerely,
A Vols Fan.

Seriously, why no love?

What's up guys, my first post, glad to find more folks who bleed orange and white. I saw this Da'Rick kid in the Ga state championship game. He looked like a man among boys. This is a big kid.

Rogers is compared to Lions' Johnson
Ambles is compared to Redskins' Thomas

I'd say that's pretty good.
