'10 GA ATH Da'Rick Rogers

It never ceases to amaze me how the Gators never lose a recruit...any recruit...whether the recruit ever openly expresses interest in them or not...

Every player in the country wants to go to UF and its the Gators that turn them down...this is especially true for players with a 5* rating that doesn't sign with them

Nuke? 4* though ....

Thats complete BS from Gator "insiders". They would have taken a commitment from him in a heartbeat. Any UF fan who thinks the staff "backed off" Da'Rick needs to buy some ocean front property from me in Arizona.

As Jason said, Da'Rick Rogers was also clamoring to get out of Athens and was all over a couple of Florida prospects to put the good word in for him. The staff wouldn't budge on Rogers because of grade and off the field issues.

:bad:

so lets get this straight, the gators didnt want "the Next T.O" because of Grades and character but they had a scholly offer for the Felonious Demar Dorsey until he defied them and kept taking OVs...

So they backed off Rogers because of "grade" and "character" issues, but they signed Leon Orr? If this is true (which I highly doubt it is), then the Gator nation needs to re-evaluate which bad character guys they take. You don't back off a 5 star receiver who you 'believe' has character issues, and then sign a guy like Leon Orr. That's equivalent to turning down Gilbert Arenas, but then signing Stephen Jackson.

How did he not make it to campus to visit? Are we sure he signed his LOI? It seems weird that he would commit having never seen Knoxville? How could he enroll from off-campus? Is he going to a satellite UT campus? Perhaps UT-Marion County?

He's not an early enrollee. He'll get here this summer.

If that character stuff was true, Florida would have backed off Ambles long before Rogers. Some of the "character" issues he had were crazy. I've always heard great things about Da'Rick.

sorry for the Uber bump but Da'rick is coming up to watch the O&W game and he's bringing a QB/Ath Landon Curtis with him from Georgia

whew.....it is bad that I am thinking the worst now when I see any of the threads of our players being bumped. Glad to see he will be at the OW game
