'10 GA ATH Da'Rick Rogers

No saying this is a definite "no" but it doesn't sound too assuring. Getting 2 guys to decommit from good schools (Vandy isn't a good football school but this guy looks like he's not planning on the NFL anyhow) seems rare from a "good" visit

Rogers lives with his mother. Apparently he just spends the night with the Nances a few nights a week. There could have been more to it in the past but I have never seen any sort of article talking about it. Just people speculating. Heres an article that mentions it.

Well, Rogers lived with Nance in Rome until he got kicked out of Darlington, then Nance's family moved to Calhoun to keep them together, and Nance's parents having a reliable source of transportation, Rogers often stays with him so he can be sure to get to school most days.
Either way, I went to Darlington at one point while Rogers was there, and after he was kicked out after physically threatening his coaches after they said he may not be able to play due to his grades, everyone that knows about it around here don't have a ton of respect for Rogers. He may have changed in the last year, so I'll give the kid a chance, but he has potential to be a problem.

Not necessarily negative. It could mean that UT really gave them something to think hard about. Maybe they are the type of kids that would rather tell the other schools before the media out of respect. Parents may have them sit down and make a decision not based on emotion.

My thoughts exactly. Anything other than a flat out "no" as was the case with Torrian Wilson is a reason to be cautiously optimistic.

I'd like if they'd report voice inflection. His dad could have said "Good!" showing excitement or "good....." sort of struggling to sound polite.

Come on posters, give us some voice inflection!

Since the message was communicated via text, I wouldn't hold your breath for this.

I don't know about anyone else but I liked Wilson's way of doing things. I would rather be told no flat out than to be led on for nothing.

Calhoun’s Da’Rick Rogers, Nash Nance to visit Tennessee | AJC College Sports Recruiting

The article said that Nash was being recruited individually from Rogers and not as a "package deal" like other schools. I think this definitely left a positive impression on Nash and therefore could sway his decision! Nash also would be playing behind EE Jordan Rodgers, Aaron Rogers little bro, at Vandy so that could also be a selling point for UT! If Nash opts for UT, expect Rogers to follow, JMO!

Vandy was also telling Nance he was the only quarterback they were recruiting and they come in and sign Jordan unexpectedly...

Could affect his decision.

Cooled on Ambles, turned up the heat on Rodgers. Rodgers signed (hopes). Who would shed a tear?

If we sign Rogers, I for one am not worried about Ambles. I hated to lose him, and he might even be better than Rogers, but if he wants to go to USC and play for the snake, then he can go. I will not lose any sleep over it.

rogers seems to be, on the surface at least, the higher quality character guy when compared to ambles.

dont think we land either though, so a mute point

Yes, really. Don't get your panties in a wad.

no panties in a wad here, but if i had known you would be so offended by grammatical errors on a recruiting message board that you would take the time to respond with a reply correcting them... i would have used the spell check.

i will do so in the future mr. webster
