'10 GA ATH Da'Rick Rogers

This really is a good deal for both Da'Rick and Nance. I mean, Da'Rick would never qualify at Vanderbilt (just like 90% of players couldn't), and Nance would probably never get to play at Georgia behind Mett. and Murray, and well, Hutson is gonna be in there, dunno how much PT he'll get.

But it works. They've both played together forever, they're best friends, they're brothers, UT offers them a good opportunity to play and win in a tough conference. Yes, Nance would have to beat Bray at some point, but he could wind up being the backup and maybe start a year, if he redshirted. Of course, Da'Rick could play right away.

I just hope we get these guys. Obviously, if they're waiting a few days, then they've definitely got something to think about. Hopefully this works out well for us.

You sure about the playing together forever part? All I know is that both transferred to Calhoun from different schools before this year. I was pretty sure they were different schools?

Hooker (i know) just said that DR really like out engineering program.....but is prolly still committed to UGA. I like how reports are coming out that they are thinking over it.....

I just heard him say that too. Every little bit helps. The fact not a lot is being said, definitely makes it seem like Tennessee gave him and Nash something to think about.

Engineering???? I thought this kid was supposed to be an academic casualty, but now, he's thinking engineering??

Someone tell him this isn't the type of engineer that drives a choo-choo.

hahaha

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. He might not qualify but now he wants to be an engineering major?

Seriously, my roommate was an engineer and ran track. Studying all the time when he was not in practice. Good luck if DR wants to go that route.

I want to say that Stanford Keglar (OLB/Titans) was a ME major at Purdue.

That would be absolutely brutal.

Guys... how 'bout taking a big dose of "shut up"? We know the kids read these boards and if that's his dream then let him have it. This kid comes from a somewhat difficult background. He might well blossom as a student with the academic support that UT can provide.

Hooker doesn't have a clue.... I am sure he heard what was said about Stone and got it mixed up..... Please don't put much into what comes out of Hooker's mouth. He is a smart a$$ to people like they don't know as much as him and he clearly misses on more stories than just about anyone I hear on UT...

I think the longer we don't hear anything the better for us....

And still... how stupid is it to mock a good recruit for saying he liked something about the school?

I know how difficult engineering programs are first hand. I also know that there are guys who make it through hard work that aren't as intelligent or academically accomplished as smarter guys who fall out. You have no idea how smart or capable the kid is... but you're letting pretty much everyone know how smart you guys are by mocking him publicly when he's considering playing for UT.

Agree. I wish each person would delete their not so funny remarks.

Lay off him.He can be anything he wants to be,This is the land of the free.He is at a time of his life that he still has a chance to shape it how HE wants it.Not like us who lives vicariously through them!
