Copeland also said that Auburn is high on his.
Copeland is one of Georgia's top overall prospects in the 2010 class.
"Right now, they are actually No. 1," he said. "I really like Auburn. They were the first SEC school to offer me. I also like it there and think I would have a good chance of playing early under Coach Rocker because he knows what I can do.
"He said he's only going to take one short guy and he wanted me to be that short guy. He knows what I'm capable of doing."
Copeland said Rocker is a big reason the Tigers currently sit atop his list of favorites. So is head coach Gene Chizik.
"I've gotten to know Coach Rocker very well. I try to stay in touch with him as much as I can," said Copeland. "He's a really good guy and seems like a really good teacher. He's also similar to my coach so I'd know kind of what to expect.
"I also like Coach Chizik. I've talked to him every time I've been there. I enjoyed that. He's a really good guy, too."
Although Copeland has a high interest in Auburn at the moment, he doesn't plan to make a commitment. Offers are still coming in. Other coaches are still visiting.
In addition to Auburn, Copeland said coaches from Tennessee, Florida State, South Carolina and Ole Miss among many others have been by for an evaluation visit this week.
"Auburn is No. 1 right now, but I'm taking my time with it," he said. "I want to stay hungry, keep working hard."
