'10 GA QB Nash Nance

So, I play the 3* starting QB for the #2 team in the country, and you play the career backup and someone who will probably never see the other side of the scout team. Well done, I knew you were smart.

There are eons more 3* pine riders than Heisman candidates. You really don't want to get into this. Don't make it into a bigger deal than it is. He will never play for the Vols anyway.

I actually like the idea someone threw out like of this focusing the Georgia staff on Rogers so we can try to go after others that are committed to them. There are not many coaches on the staff at UGA right now and maybe we are trying to distract them. I would actually be fine taking Nash if Rogers came. I think Nash is an improvement over Nick L and that could help in the decision to redshirt Bray or not.

IMO the Nance offer is just to get Rogers to make an official visit to see what TN has to offer..Coach O has been trying and trying to get him to visit and this has finally been the move that worked...don't think we would accept a Nance commitment even if he tried to after the visit..IMo it is only to hopefully sway Rogers when he is here

Bray needs the time in the system and weight system to even be close to being ready to play. he is almost guaranteed to redshirt next year.
It really just depends on how he looks in the Spring. The staff trying to get him in here extra early, so he could participate in the bowl practices tells me something. Most of the other EE's are coming in later...some after the Allstar games.

I think they wanted to give Bray as big of a head start as possible, so they could have time to let him soak in the playbook and have as good a look at him this Spring as they can...without his head spinning the whole time.

That was his point...

Maybe so, but we actually know that Lamaison won't wind up as the starter. No one knows what Nance will do. Does he sign with the Vols?? I doubt it, but he's probably better to the coaches than Lamaison, IMO.

Just who is "WE" and just how do you KNOW? You just came out of a coaches meeting or something? Or are you dialed into the Psychic Friends Hotline?

Damn experts laying down the law with their weak@$$ opinions again.

I would never post again on here again if Nick Lamaison ever became the starter at UT. That's how confident I am that will never happen.

This tells me we may have seen the last of Lamaison. Honestly, it's probably in his best interest to look at some smaller schools if he actually wants to play somewhere.

Georgia commit, Da'Rick Rogers is closely connected to Nash Nance. It has been talked about in other threads that the Nance offer was solely given to get Da'Rick Rogers to come on an official visit to UT. The staff wants Rogers bad

Even though he sat out the 2nd half of most Calhoun games this year, Nance still compiled some very impressive numbers in their spread offense. He completed 203 of 297 pass attempts (68%) for 3,017 yards, 29 TDs, and 8 INTs. He also rushed for 359 yards on 78 carries (4.6 YPC).

have we offered him? It was said in the ambles thread that we may have. Does anyone think we land both him and rogers?

A program cannot have enough QBs. Lamaison and Simms will never play for UT, barring injury. I see no problem with signing another QB, especially if Chaney is this high on him.

According to the local High School writer for the local paper Chaney has wanted to offer for a while but Coach X wanter a West Coast QB. Of course I bet it doesn't hurt that Da'Rick lives with the Nash Family. Writer said Chaney and Thompson spent 5 hours there Monday.
