wow, when Peyton Manning played here he he was what, 4 or 5 years old?

Hey I LOLed at that as well but my son has liked to UT football with me since he was 4 yrs old. He'll be 7 in September and he'll be sitting right beside me this year watching the games. Hopefully this year I won't have to leave the room most of the game to go rant and rave.:)

That's what's left? Hoping Meyer goes to ND?
no...it's only the most likely scenario...

I could say I can't wait until we beat UF this year, but that doesn't seem very likely.

If Weis stinks it up at ND this year though...well, if I was a UF fan, I would get more nervous with each ND loss...

but, perhaps you trust him when he says he is staying.

Sure do. He'll be there for a long time. Let's put it this way... I believe Meyer more than I believe Finebaum. You should too...

Considering ND plays about the same level of talent they played against in Hawaii last year for 8 of their games this I'm pretty sure they will be ok with Weis.

You don't know anything about football if you think Notre Dame will suck this year. Look at their roster and how talented it is, then look at their schedule. Remember how talented they were when Brady Quinn was there? Yeah, they are back on that level if not better now.

You don't know anything about reading if you think I said that ND will suck this year. See the "If?"

"I was contacted by one, but I'm not interested. I love it here. We have a lot of work to do. That's the bottom line." — Bowling Green coach Urban Meyer, 2002. Six days later, he was coach at Utah.

"All I keep saying is I plan on being the coach here at Utah." — Utah coach Urban Meyer, 2004. Five days later, he was coach at the University of Florida.

"I'm not going to Notre Dame. Ever." — UF Coach Urban Meyer, 2009.

Good finds! You do notice that both of those he doesn't say "I'm NEVER GOING TO ....".

Hey, you keep believing that he'll be gone. That way when UT goes 6-0 to Meyer next year it will sting that much more...

We can all hold on to hope huh?

I do not want Meyer to leave before Kiffin starts spanking him on a regular basis... but I believe he's gone as soon as the next best thing comes along. I think he would go to ND because it would be another level of challenge and a chance to write his name into that tradition. I think he would also go to the NFL. He's claimed he wouldn't do either... which seems to be one of the better signs that he would.

UF fans think he's motivated by what pleases them... winning championships for the school they love. He isn't. Meyer is a narcissist. Narcissists are in love with themselves and at the point where anything, even a success, stops exalting their self-image sufficiently... it loses all value. The ONLY question you ever need ask to predict Meyer's behavior is what will be best for his ego.

You can be sure that it really bothers Meyer that people say alot of coaches could be successful with UF's recruiting situation... It denies him the love and praise he believes he deserves.

Bad news for us. It sounds like Brown is not solid at all and he is likely to de-commit to UF and commit to Tennessee sometime after his visit. Apparently it has something to do with not wanting to be a RB out of the spread. Kiffin has been pounding that point home to him.

Congrats if it is true.
