How man slots do we have available? I keep hearing about possibly getting several good prospects like Stone, Robinson and Rogers. There is a thread about Ambles possibly coming for a visit. We had threads for about half a dozen OL that were being looked at but we signed a 1* and keep looking at 2*'s (I know stars don't mean everything) It seems like we are either getting our hopes up for something that isn't going to happen or we are going to run out of scholarships before the best players get a chance to let us know what their decision is.

A 6'3" 205 lb safety... redshirt one year plus the strength and conditioning program.... maybe you have an outside linebacker or very athletic defensive end.... dont get so hung up on stars... you never know maybe this kid got hurt his junior year and flew under the radar... happens...

I'm sorry but, I don't like the idea of this guy coming to Knoxville. I'm happy with Lofton, Dixon, and the four star JC guy(can't remember his name).

why is it that a lot of people think coaches are looking for kids to run the program in the ground. A lot of people can sit behind a computer look at stars and crappy youtube videos, but coaches are the ones in the field talking to coaches and kids up close. We hired the guy let him do his job. If he thinks he can win with this kid I am all in...It's his own butt on the line if he tanks the program. Besides most kids who are "rated" do so at camps...anyone that has been around recruiting understands that....

Go Big Orange.

IMO... this is probably a kid Lance Thompson has had on his radar for awhile and/or one of his contacts in Ga turned him onto Sapp as a kid he should take a look at....

People also need to keep in mind that not all the recruits are treated the same way on visitation days. I teach at a very football oriented and respected High school in Tennessee. A student told me, since he knows that I am a big Vol fan, that his brother had went to Knoxville on a weekend visitation trip about a week or so ago for a long snapper gig. So I said cool, did he get to meet any of those big name recruits walking around there. He told me that his brother did not get to be with them much, they kept em seperate from his bunch most of the time and that he later saw those guys wearing free ut jackets etc. Just goes to show that we dont hear about all the little pieces of a recruiting class. Every football team has some no names that are just as important as the others to make a team. Could be the case on this guy.

Rumor per TOS that he has already given a verbal to CDD.

Hubbs mentioned that he is not sure that this guy a verbal they accept yet.

I mean look stars are not a big deal in my book but obviously it bothers me when fla. and bama our two arch rivals are racking up the best talent in the country year in year out.

I don't believe that would be true as that would be a ncaa violation.

I wouldn't have a problem with UT taking this kid. He has good size and wouldn't have any problems qualifying academically, and apparently has good character and work ethic. If our chances think he can play, I say bring him on. I don't care how many stars he has.
