LMAO at counting the exclamations for confirmation. The fact that he tweaked a Miley Cyrus song tells me that he will come to Knoxville to party but will sign with the Commodores.

There has been a general feeling of negativity surrounding the program and I'm sure some of these recruits are pissed about how X departed. I don't blame these kids for reconsidering. I think we are starting to build back up some momentum now though and we will get back on track with a lot of these kids. There was a lot of uncertainty for a short while, give these guys sometime.

Many teams are trying to take advantage of the recent coaching transition at Tennessee, and Auburn is one of those programs. It appears five-star wide receiver Markeith Ambles will visit the Tigers on the final visit weekend this month. If that does materialize and he visits the Tigers, can they pull him away from the Vols?

That is very good news imo. I want him to visit the Barn more than LSU, Bama, or USC. If our only competition is Auburn and UNC, I like our chances.

mee to but i dont see either of them pulling him away. but hey here at usm 2 years ago we got a 5 star wr. (very unlikely) deandre brown and he picked usm over lsu an auburn an bama an bunch other schools.these are 2 different kids but jus sayin it depends on what he wants like brown most likely he come here so he could be the star which he is so that may be why ambles considered unc but like i said not all these kids have the same plan.

Between Auburn having a top 5 recruiting class at the moment and Willis picking UNC... I don't feel good about Ambles. Hope I am wrong but if he doesn't want to be here, I am okay with Hunter, Milton... and Meline? Anyone know if he is going to moved to defense?

you are pretty much right it was cuz of his grades but he said ""[Brown] chose USM because he was more comfortable. He's comfortable with the coaches, with Tony Hughes, who had been recruiting him [beginning at Ole Miss, on Ed Orgeron's staff]. He likes Coach Fedora...DeAndre is going to be eligible. He is going to qualify. That was not an issue...[Miles' visit] was nothing any different than any other staff has done." he could have gotten in at lsu and auburn but this is besides the point lol

I am hearing rumors that he is visiting does anyone know anything? If I have posted this in the wrong place I am new and would like to know where it shoul be posted.

In my personal dreamland, I'd like to believe that Markeith is just playing this thing out and is just headed to the Barn to recruit for us on the last weekend before NSD....sniffle, memories of the way he used to. :cray:

What crap?

Several reports indicated that we asked him not to come last weekend so that we could utilize the 75% visit rule on the old staff in order to gain bonus visits from the NCAA. Just because he went to UNC doesn't mean he isn't a Vol. Just like we shouldn't think that because he's coming here this weekend that he IS a Vol.

But it certainly looks better.

First I have heard we asked him not to visit. I know there was something about the 75% rule, but I didn't think it included Ambles. I thought this was all on him. He first said he wasn't visiting anywhere, but then ended up at UNC. I could be wrong however. Maybe LV or Rex could shine a little light on the subject????

Just take a look in the Ambles thread, you should find all the information there. Also if you want to go on Scout, it is confirmed there as well

He couldn't have met with Coach Dooley if he had come last weekend, which was the point of Dooley going to visit him this week at home. He wanted to give Markeith a chance to meet him & Coach Baggett and hopefully arrange for him to come back for an OV.

From how it came out, his mom said he wasn't going anywhere this weekend and then he ended up at UNC. I'm just saying you can't judge these kids on their activities in the last couple of weeks before NSD. From Facebook to visits to parent comments, it's all dramatic smokescreens right now. They want a stage for this all to unfold. I'm sure there are a lot of current Vols that we cheer for right now who engaged in the same "hard to read" behaviors before they signed with us.

If he chooses to come here, that's awesome.
If not, so be it.

God I love that guy, he has always been All-Vol and he's from South Carolina. GBO!!
