I think we have a shot but it is going to be post signing day shot. It might be March before he makes a choice.

Also if we get Rogers it will make up for not getting Ambles but I was really hoping to see him in O&W. I still have a 5% hope we get both.

I love how you guys hate on a kid for looking around at schools, I mean he's only gonna spend the next 3 or 4 years of his life there. How can you even say you don't want ambles any more. I will take him on my team any day of the week. It's not like we were the best team in the sec last year!

He won't announce on Wed. He might get in Knox next weekend and announce after that.

Does anyone here think that this weekend was our only and last chance at getting an official visit from him?

After being routed through Charlotte from Atlanta to get to Knoxville, the highly rated receiver from Henry County High School in McDonough, Ga., was stranded for more than 12 hours at a hotel near the airport, waiting to see if his last minute official visit will happen.

“If I can I’ll go,” the 6-foot-3, 185-pound receiver said Saturday morning of traveling to UT. “But if they’re saying they don’t have a flight to Knoxville and they have one to Atlanta, I’m going back home.”

Ambles has been to UT several times, but has never taken his official visit.

Ambles was committed to UT for months before the Vols’ coaching change. He then ruled out the Vols and seemed to be leaning towards joining former UT coach Lane Kiffin at Southern California before hastily putting together this weekend’s trip to Knoxville.

I don't blame the kid at all. I am glad he is finally going to give Dooley a chance. Ambles is still my favorite skill position recruit this year.

Smart move to wait until after signing day imo...With USC on his list he's gonna be able to mark them off when they go on probation.:thumbsup:

Ambles is trying to get back to Atlanta where Tennessee is apparently waiting to pick him up and drive him to Knoxville. We will see if this happens.

So is MA a Vol recruit or a recruiter for USC? I'm kind of glad he won't be in Knoxville at the same time as Rogers (if he comes).

If MA's intentions are good, he can still visit later & sign with UT after NSD.

Good point. Maybe all the USC recruits should wait until after the NCAA hands down their decision mid Feb to sign. Won't that burn X's butt.....:cray:

you're being sarcastic I hope...pray tell me WHO will be in Knoxville this weekend? there couldn't be but 4 or 5 recruits on campus...none of whom USC would try to sway...go VOLS!

I don't buy the whole Ambles = USC mole theory. No one else who planned on visiting this weekend is even considering USC anyway. Who exactly would he be able to recruit?
