Looks like most people in this thread would qualify for a senior discount. Fugazi at the Library and Flamingos is about as far back as I go, $5 and all ages.

do we know this for sure? do we have anything other than "a friend of mine saw him at a restaurant"

He has two official visits left I believe and from everything I've read/heard on him, he intends to take them. Therefore him signing on NSD isn't happening, in my opinion.

I'm sorry...I was referring to Rogers. I got mixed up which thread I was in

I think if he commits on NSD then its good for us. but if he pulls a bryce brown and decides to wait then its really bad for us. he will end up at USC is he doesint commit on NSD. this visit is make or break i think...i hope they pulled out all the stops...

If it plays out past NSD, I think USC will be less of a factor. They have 14 commits and can only take 17, if I remember correctly. I think USC will fill their class on NSD, therefore no room for Ambles post-NSD.

I noticed they sold steaks. I can't imagine a scenario where I would ever purchase one of those.
They had cheap beer, their Meatball sub was awesome and owner Farid was a cool guy.
I used to go hang out with him during the afternoon in the summer when no one was in town. He was a really cool guy.

Agreed. I also think with us having a new staff it would help us considering he would have more time to get to know the coaches and become more familiar with what they are trying to do. Who knows though.

The first part of this post makes a lot of sense concerning logical situations, but with Ambles, the bolded part is unfortunately the truth.

I don't mean to worry but I think if he signs past NSD it would hurt us because we will probably most likely have our whole class filled by the time NSD is over, I hope I'm wrong.

man that makes me feel old... I still considered Mike and Willy's as "new" (although its not around anymore)
They closed my freshman year in 05...
Then they became Liquid Knoxville...they had Girls Gone Wild coming out, I was there. lol
Then they had Fiction come out in the Old City as well...but Mike and Willy's and all its new names...that's the place where not so much MILFs would come to try to get some college boy meat.

As an aside, there's not a hole in the wall store in Knoxville that compares with a store I stopped at in the Dominican Republic. They had plastic chairs out front. You could buy your cheap, tasty beer, walk out the door, and drink it in front of the store. The only downer was that the guy the store hired to clean wouldn't sit down to drink with me. Maybe it was against the rules, or maybe my broken Spanish didn't convey my intent.

I think it will depend on what he sees this weekend and how comfortable he is with this staff. Honestly I think Ambles would be at USC because of X if not for the distance. UT was damaged goods in his mind I'm sure after the coaching departure and I'm sure X gave him some negatives about UT, but now he is probably reconsidering because of some of the recruits in our class who are in his ear and our coaching staff. I think UNC leads right now by default but it wouldn't take much to sway him. I think if he isn't comfortable with the situation at UT, he may drag out his recruitment and would likely ultimately land at LSU.

pretty good logic. NSD will be the key but I do not see him at LSU. This is probably the closest I seen to someone getting close to being inside his head
alot of ifs but this works for me.

I went into OCI for a burger and a beer 2 summers ago. The old timers on the strip are getting reamed these days. It's a tough business with 18-21 year old clientele except on game days. Still, a great place.

A lot of the old hangouts are gone. Last Lap, the Library, Ivy's, Quarters.

You just named four of my favorites. :good!:

I like your input. I think our current class and the bond he has with those guys plays a big part in this as well. I think the longer it plays out, the better it looks for UNC. My basis on this is the same reason why you have UNC leading now, by default. He likes UNC but isn't particularly crazy about it. The longer this draws out the more likely he is to attend UNC because he doesn't find somewhere else that he likes more.
