Your probably right but if they as freshman come in and out perform them then I would think they have no choice but to start Ambles, Rodgers, and hunter...

Definitely. If they are getting beat out then they should lose playing time. I think Moore and Jones will be rotated in regardless though. It's the freshman that will have to prove they deserve playing time. Jones and Moore would have to look really bad to not be in on at least half the passing plays.

I agree, I was just want to make sure we were on the same page about playing your best players. Just because your a senior does not guarantee you a spot..

Lets say Ambles goes elsewhere. That means we effectively switched Ambles and Thompkins into Hunter and Rogers. Are we in better/worse/same position?

I'd say we traded up just because we get 4 years with Hunter instead of 2 years with Thompkins. Replacing Ambles with Rogers is about even IMO (if Rogers qualifies).

Markeith Ambles looks to be down to North Carolina and USC. Alabama sent the scholarship papers to Henry County High School today according to his coach, but Ambles has not been in school the last two days due to the pressure of recruiting. He is now set to announce his decision live on on T.V. Wednesday morning. It will be carried by FOX in Atlanta on Good Day Atlanta.

I'd say better for the simple fact of having 2 4yr wr's with huge upside in Rogers & Hunter that could become beastly compared to a 4yr & a 2 yr JUCO wr. Other than that it's a wash.

He'll get immediate playing time, whereas here, he'll have to compete with 6-7 other quality receivers. So, I understand if he does go to UNC. Best of luck to him if he does.

Hmm he still might pull out a UT hat from somewhere, don't give up hope before the paper is signed.

I honestly think he doesn't want to share the stage with Rogers, and he regrets pulling his commit. That opened the door for the Vols to look elsewhere. i really hate it for the boy. He let his emotions take over. GOVOLS!!!

What would suck about this is that we have a home and home scheduled with UNC for 2011 and 2012. I hope we have some really good CBs by then.

i just cant see picking UNC over us? i mean USC i can understand...flordia. flordia state? i mean a up and coming or dominante power...but UNC? i mean they are horrible and are never going to compeate with GA tech, clemson, FSU..etc...i just dont get it...

I still think that Ambles is all VOL...I don't think is afraid of competition....we will find out tomorrow....go VOLS!
:clapping:

if he wants to play big time football he will sign with Ut no one watches or keeps up with NC they are a basketball school not even a after thought in football an they are never on tv

He was the one recruiting Kyle Prater here, he isn't scared of competition or sharing the stage. I still have a feeling he'll be in orange tomorrow for some odd reason.
