'10 GA WR Markeith Ambles - USC Commit

Scout didn't specifically say he had eliminated UT. The reporter said that it looked like it was down to UNC and USC.

That perception could have been built on nothing more than Ambles saying he liked both programs... without mentioning his thoughts on UT. If he had told the guy he had eliminated UT... the blurb would have said he had "eliminated UT".

Might have to put that crow in the fridge for a minute!!!

LOL....GBO

I could see him landing at any of the three but UNC would surprise me the most just because the opportunity for success there is so much less. X has the longest relationship with him but I have to think Ambles realizes X is scum. He knows about UT and has sold the program to other recruits, our WR coach has a better resume of developing WRs than any of those three also.

That UT in his twitter location standers for "Uber Twitter"

That's good to know. I've had a twitter account for a year. Shows how much I use it I suppose. Making me rethink it. Thanks! BTW, for as long as I've been a tennessee vol, this is the first time that I've been so hung up on NSD. Does that make me a "Real" fan or pathetic? I think the former, but no one around me seems to get it!

How sick would it be to have Markeith on one side and Da'Rick on the other, their styles would compliment each other so well, two highly touted WR's learning from each other...they could also learn from two vets in G Jones and D Moore, I don't feel like UNC can offer the depth of every day competition like the UT receiving corps would, and hopefully USC is too far away from home for him, but even so USC's corps lacks quality vets they could learn from

Don't forget Justin Hunter, Matt Milton and Meline if he stays offense. We may just have to run a run-and-shoot. :p

He is a Vol IMO...not based on anything insideish just my opinion and the fact he and Da'rick befriended Justin Hunter at the same time generally just now.

Wow the competition for receiver here is going to be ridiculous...it's gonna be real enticing for QB's in next year's class.

When did they befriend Justin Hunter?

Nobody outside the state of North Carolina cares about UNC football. The people IN N.C. care more about Lacrosse and NASCAR than football. Doesn't really seem like MA's kind of place. Nobody in southern California cares about college football. When USC plays a packed house, it's on the road. It's a really long way to go to be just another receiver at USC. The whole state of Tennessee loves football, there's nothing else even comparable. Make it here and he's a hero for life. He's only a few hours from home, so his family can come to Neyland Stadium, they'll be royalty.

Nah we lost Stanley and probably Williams to be replaced by a very cool but still a two star LB.

No matter where the "experts" rank our class, it's amazing the job Derek Dooley has done in salvaging and improving our recruiting class.

honestly yes; considering we're rebuilding - maybe even more than we just were in some senses - he did a great job getting together what he could and keeping who he did; 8 of 10 times a school goes through what we did, their recruiting class plummets to like the 20s at best

and of course too the team has a rough season ahead as well
