'10 GA WR Markeith Ambles - USC Commit

He'll be here this weekend, and he plans on taking visits to some other schools. Nothing to worry about.

Couple of uga fans I work with who "claim" to know what goes on at uga says they are going to try to redshirt Marlon Brown. We shall see.

That would be extremely surprising to me. As highly ranked as he was, you would expect him to be able to come in and contribute in SOME way for just about any team in the country. Maybe all the "rumors" about him not being as good as his stats indicated (playing extremely weak competition in high school) had some merit to them.....who knows, way too early to determine that. I think we ended up with the better WR in Teague anyways.

Seeing as Rict is following in Fulmer's footsteps, it doesn't suprise me one bit that he will redshirt. Freshmen can't possibly contribute.

He does not play weak competition. He's just south of Atlanta. He plays better competition than about 90% of other high school players around the country.

I saw that he was one of the visitors at the Florida game. I wonder if he was helping us recruit while he was there and if he has made any comments after that visit.
Since he said he was coming to the hill he has been a big help.

Markeith told the vols he is SOLID but he wants to take some visits to help recruit for UT. He and Jacques is our best recruiters.

No. Nu'keese was nowhere near as solid to Florida as Markeith is to Tennessee. Many teams that were recruiting Ambles backed off of their own accord anyway.

You're right.

There seemed to be questions about his attitude, so a lot of schools backed off -- except UT. As it turns out, he's having a fine senior year. Georgia finally came around, but Ambles politely told them where they could shove it.

If Ambles could sign today he would.

Marlon Brown is like 95% of other big recruits from TN. He's a beast athletically, but hes had terrible coaching and they've got to basically build him up from nothing.

I don't know Ambles exact stats, but he caught 2 TDs in his game Thursday night. One of them was a 36 yard TD catch. On the other, Ambles caught a screen pass, and took it 54 yards to the house...
