This is true...although there were people so sure that Luc was all but signed w/ Tennessee (even more sure than Ambles it seems like), and yet we see how it worked out.

I still say Ambles comes to Tenn. I've always said these kids are nuts NOT to take visits when they have the opportunities to do so. They will never have this time in life again--why not enjoy it and take a few trips?!

I never was sold on Luc...too shaky for me. Wishful thinking on my end I suppose but we'll be fine. But Markeith will be a playmaker for CLK.

Luc's situation caught everyone by suprise.. I honestly beleive he was a silent to UT.. And I think everyone's information about Luc being a vol was true at the time.. I honestly think he just made a split second decision and changed his mind.

I also think Gran had something to do with it..

Just asking a question so dont get your blood presure up, but what does Gran have to do with him coming to UT or not? He always talked about playing for Monte. That would be his defensive coach not Gran and Gran will not be at FSU.

Only thing that I can get out of what you said is that Gran said something bad about Tennesse..

Please tell me because you do see alot of kids decommiting to a school because their recruiter left but has nothing to do with their career. IMO

And then you hear kids say I committed to UT not a specific coach. Ill take that kid over the other any day

Eddie Gran was his main recruiter.. He was the one that visited him and called him for UT.. Gran is still his recruiter at FSU..

I think Gran had alot to do with Luc commiting to FSU so quickly.. If he said something, he was recruiting him for FSU all along, I don't know.. But something was off about the situation..

Kids decommit from schools when their main recruiter leaves all the time.. This is the guy that visit's them at school, comes and sits with their parents and talks about the program he works out..

Sometimes, Kids to commit to a school and the school only.. But for some reason nowadays there are so many other factors that tie these kids to a school..

Something just stinks about the whole situation.
Did Luc even give us a chance to get another recruiter on him?

WOW. lol I really need to read Meat Market because some of these kids do crazy stuff. lol

But then again that prolly doesnt tell you how to read a 17 year olds mind..

The big difference between Ambles and Luc is that Ambles is commited to UT. I will admit though anything can happen on a visit to another school but I think Ambles is solid to UT. IMO

I really liked it up at Ole Miss when I was up there for camp," Ambles said on Wednesday evening. "I was impressed with the facilities and coaches and just about everything I saw."

While Ambles is still committed to Tennessee and listed as a "solid" commit, some changes in Knoxville, including the move of Wilson to LSU, have him exploring other options.

"I'm looking at other options because of the coaching changes," Ambles said. "I plan to visit some other schools and see what is best for me."

Two things are interesting about Ambles re-consideration. First, he said he's the one who initiated contact with Ole Miss, and second, he seems intrigued with Ole Miss' depth chart situation.

Name at least 1 prospect that hasn't said or thought this when a coaching change has happened, high profile or not. We don't have a coach in place, YET, and when we do either they will smooth things over or they will move on if he doesn't want to come here. It's that simple people, quit freaking out. :hi:

I'd be shocked if he switched to Ole Miss. Don't really see this as anything to worry about.

Wilson's departure might be a factor, but Nutt openly expressed interest in the Kansas gig. How confident do you really think Ambles is in the staff's long-term stability in Oxford?

nice try, but 'they' will still worry to death over every prospect with a slight inkling of UT consideration. It doesn't even have to be an inkling by the actual prospect...it can all be made up....or what we like to call around here "rumors".

If you've followed recruiting more than most then you probably have learned by now not to worry like a desperate little boy. Now having said that, I love all you guys.
