You know absolutely nothing about Ambles then.

This kid was very highly rated and was very highly recruited early on but supposed off the field stuff caused some teams to "cool" on him but he had all the fan fair he wanted then. UT was the only team that stuck with him.

He has never been about the attention just wanted his 5th star.

Dont get him confused with Taylor who was seeking the attention and recognition.

Sorry, but him telling Volquest that he's committed last night when he had already de-committed rubbed me wrong in a big way. I believe he had already made a decision to not be a Vol before Dooley ever stepped foot into his school today. Anyone who would commit to the low-life instead of the school is a fool anyway.

I mean in my opinion this guy would start every game of his career at UT we lack of a playmaker g jones is tough but not that big name like you need. Markeith could have a direct impact and would be loved by volnation.

In case you all haven't heard, he's ignored Volquest's staff all night. He did send a text to Hubbs that he has de-committed.

Others have said that he was wearing a UNC hat on UStream, and also stated that he's said twice that he isn't coming to Tennessee on Skype. Take the last tid bit for what it's worth, but it sounds like he's long gone.

I dunno. I am just going to wait and see how Dooley's visits went. ESPN is also reporting that he is still committed but is looking around. I just think he may need to be reassured by DD. But yes, I sure hope he sees through Kiffin and stays committed to the University that wants him, not just the coaches.

From what i've heard, we offered QB Nash Nance who plays on Rodger's high school team. Rodgers also lives with Nance and his family. So yesterday Cheaney and Thompson met with both of them for 5 hours in the Nance home. Supposedly Cheaney has wanted Nance all along but X wanted a QB from the west coast (Heaps, Scroggins, Bray, etc). But Cheaney got them to agree to a visit this weekend, but he wants Nance regardless of Rodgers.

Wonder what Chaney sees in Nance, if Chaney wants him he might have potential.

Perhaps I'm being harsh. Ambles is very talented and I really hate to see him go. However, I feel like the kid had already wrote us off before Coach Dooley ever stepped foot in his home.

He's making a mistake if he goes to UNC or LSU. I can understand the appeal of playing for Saban at Alabama, but they're absolutely loaded. The image of him in a power T hat has been the face of our recruiting class this entire time, and now that guy is likely gone. Who wouldn't be pissed?

so again, essentially, the kid wants to look around more and we won't know anything one way or another for like another week or maybe even signing day

Man I want him back in the class but if switches that is a slap in the face...

If we can land Hunter and Rodgers I could easily forget about Ambles.

I feel Like someone should inform you that it is Chaney, not cheney or cheaney. He is our offensive coordinator for crying out loud. Your posts will automatically lose legitimacy if you spell a coach's name wrong, even if you are dooley himself.

Maybe he knows something we don't yet, regarding Rogers and Hunter possibly coming here. He was the premier recruit at receiver, before news broke about the other two seriously considering us now. Just sayin, would make sense.

I still hope Ambles stays. He was by far the most college ready receiver in both all star games. If he doesn't, it won't be the end of the world... but I'd still like to see him in Orange.

I don't think that Ambles is afraid of competition. He's got game no doubt and would for sure see the field often as a freshman. It must of had something to do with what kind of offense they plan on running this coming season. What this team doesn't need is another Kelly Washington! It's a TEAM sport. Want to play an individual sport go play ping pong or golf or something.

I doubt it has anything to do with anything other than him wanting to make the right decision after the shock of losing the coaches he knew.
