I'll go with my opinion on that over yours.

The only thing that would hold Smith back is gaining some weight. The thing holding Pat Harris back is grades and not qualifying. So, really, Pat Harris was never ready to play right away.

He may end up getting in at Idaho or a PAC 10 school with more lax academic transfer rules. Otherwise, he's not ready to play anywhere right now.

Its not easy for a freshman to gain the 30 or so pounds he would need to play right away and maintain quickness and conditioning. I think Smith will be better than Harris in the long run though.

I haven't heard anything about Harris in a long while. Does anyone know what his status is? Are we still looking at him? I know he actually committed to UT before, but now scout has him as having no interest in anyone. Does that mean he is staying in JUCO? Is that because of grades?

Harris isn't coming. Grades are too bad and won't be able to get past the SEC JUCO enrollment rules.
