I don't understand unless we drop Harris or Brown. I would rather have Mahoney and Brown unless Harris is moving over to OT. Mahoney, Brown and Harris OR Willis, Brousseard and Quarles (if everyone is in play) ????

In 3 games, Mahoney has 6 total tackles (3 solo) and 2 sacks.

Just to compare, Vol commitment John Brown has 30 total tackles (19 solo) and 3.5 sacks in 4 games.

Broussard may not make it because of grades or because he decommits so he can go to LSU (where he will go IMO if they offer)

I like Quarles alot and think this guy may be a backup option.

dudes seriously we do NOT need another DT in this class i hope we dont waste a spot for this guy. look we are going to be stacked at this position we dont need another one unless its a high profile guy and imo this guy isnt. This is next years line up at DT.
Hughes
Walls
Jefferey
Harris
Brown
Willis
Brousard

Do we seriously need another one? all those guys are beasts and ready to play so lets please just pass on this guy

Brown and Harris will be Juniors. Broussard could leave. Willis isn't a lock to be a DT. Jeffrey may never be the same again due to his injury.

I do think we need another DT, but not this guy really.

Hopefully if we take another DT it will be Quarles. We do have a lot of DT in the class but it will not hurt taking another one to add depth and have a 2 or 3 man rotation at each DT position.

Harris and Brousard might not be here next year. Willis and Copeland could slide inside and play the 3, but not NT.

“I watched Tennessee on television against Florida, I thought they dominated the Gators,” Mahoney said. “They have a legendary coaching staff. To get the chance to play for Monte Kiffin and Ed Orgeron doesn’t happen everyday"

Looks like the Fla game is already starting to pay dividends.

That's how I looked at the game. It's a loss on the field and in the record books, but it's almost like a win when it comes to the recruiting trail. Besides, winning on the recruiting trail is what will lead to wins on the field anyway.

Not if you ask a Gator fan, it's ALL coaching.

If we get Mahoney, Ill be watching for Harris to decommit soon after. I dont think we need 3 JUCO DT. Need to land Whitaker or Quarles!

One of them will move to the OL. This is exactly what Orgeron loves, stocking up on athletic DL and moving them to the OL...

"Tennessee has been recruiting me the hardest and probably the longest," Mahoney said. "Texas Tech just offered and I am going to visit there November 28th. Kansas State just offered as well."

"I am for sure going to take more visits and see other places," Mahoney said. "Tennessee has recruited me very hard and I am very interested in them, but I will not commit this weekend. I am definitely going to see more places."

Per Rivals... It looks like Orgeron really wants this guy. Rivals has him as a 4star and the #33 JUCO player in the country. With Texas Tech and Kansas St. now offering, it seems his stock is on the rise, and the battle to get him has gotten harder...

He will be arriving in Knoxville tomorrow evening...

please please for the love of god no. no more Dlineman please. WE DONT NEED ANYMORE. i feel great about the people we already have i dont want any of those guys to decommit for this guy? i understand that people want alot of depth but thats not good for the athlete. if they are all playing at a really high level and they all rotate snaps at DT then they wont get many snaps at all. all that practicing for a few snaps? i mean holy crap we are going to be overloaded on the dline we are only losing what 2 dlineman this year? once again WE DONT NEED ANYMORE

The only guy I see moving to OL is Pat Harris. Brown is pretty well-developed and about as big as he is going to get. He would have to outgrow D tackle to end up on O. Broussard is a perfect 2 gap guy IMO.
