I must have missed this story. I didn't even realize Newton had left Florida. The kid definitely has talent. I think he actually came in against us two years ago and continued to make us look bad when we had given up. However, Newton fits Florida's system, but not so sure he fits UT's. To bad we couldn't get him and turn him into a possession receiverr. Big kid!

Remember this kid from Florida. Saw him in their spring game a few year's ago & he looked pathetic, didnt have any accuracy at all but he does have a cannon of an arm! He played QB at Westlake High in Atlanta, Ga with one of my real good friend's.

Newton had 2 carries for 15 yards and a TD against us.

He hasn't even thrown 15 passes in his career. We shouldn't be taking Floridas trash anyways, much less a JuCo QB which hurts our chances of getting a good player.

He got kicked off for stealing a laptop, spray painting his name on it, throwing it out of a window, and then lying to the cops I think.

And he's a freak athletically, but he couldn't make progressions and didn't make good throws. Brantley had already passed him up anyways.
