Maybe we can pick up Jamar Hornsby too. It will be free laptops an gasoline for everyone! Weed is at a premium but Percy Harvin could be our hook up.

The important question is,was it an Apple MacBook/MBPro laptop,or a Windows machine laptop.......:)

CLK is not going to take a dual threat QB. If he passed on Boyd who was much more of a Pro Style QB than Newton what makes anyone think we would offer this kid?

He passed on Boyd because he is not going to play this year at all. He had ACL surgery.

This view doesn't even make sense. Of course he'll take a dual threat QB.

Kiffin prefers drop back pro style QB's. He has said many times he is not going to take players that do not fit his system, and Newton does not fit his system. Would he take a "dual threat" QB? Maybe a drop back guy that can move if he has to but not a guy like Newton.

He got kicked off for stealing a laptop, spray painting his name on it, throwing it out of a window, and then lying to the cops I think.

And he's a freak athletically, but he couldn't make progressions and didn't make good throws. Brantley had already passed him up anyways.

Good way to not get yourself caught...

He will take a dual threat QB if he sees one that he likes. There are some that fit his system. Aaron Corp is an example. But I'm pretty sure Newton is nowhere close to the passer Corp is.

That is my point. He may take a guy that the services call "dual threat" if he is a pure passer that has the ability to run if he needs to but he is not going to take a guy like Newton who is more of a VY type guy. I should have been more specific when I said he would not take a DT QB.

And Donte Stallworth can bring the drinks and drive the getaway car! Better make that a bus....Travis Henry is bringing the family along.

He wouldn't have started period. Brantley beat him out within being on campus for a week.

Yeah, but Cam redshirted and Brantley didn't. That was my point. Not to say that another QB couldn't come in and start over him, just saying he wouldn't have had a chance until Brantley leaves or graduates.

Yes, there is something going on there.

I don't know how deep Tennessee is in it just yet, or if they would really want to bring him in if push came to shove but there has been some contact and some discussion about pursuing him.

This was posted by Rob Lewis when asked if there was any contact between UT and Newton...
