Anyone who thinks Auburn will be "the team to beat in the West" or is "ahead of us" in the rebuilding process is pretty funny...

feathersax, Malzahn a hack.... Why do you think that? Remember what he did to us in 09 year??? Lets just be glad we don't play them this year, except in the SECG. I am telling you guys, they will win the west in 2010.

Gus is not going anywhere for at least 2-3 years, he is getting the players he wants to run his offense. Gus wouldn't leave after getting a top 5 recruiting class with getting Newton and Dyer and probably Lattimore, a top TE and a veteran OL returning next year, and AU will pay him not to leave, trust me.

OK guys, I love TN but some of you guys are looking thru your orange glasses. When is the last time we beat AU anyway???

And VK, they lost to KY by 7 and we barely beat them in OT, and they killed Ole Miss who killed us, not to mention our disaster last night. But we did kill GA who beat them.

We will be much better next year, but so will AU, count on it.....

They're like Florida with respect to Bama. Better players but worse coaches. You assume improvement based on the quality of the coaches, not on just how they did this year. Had we not played one of our worst halves of the season against them, we would certainly have won that game.

I think the jury is still out on Auburn. They have surely recruited well this year, we'll have to see how they develop that talent though. I think Crompton progressed a lot since we played them early on.

kp, bama didn't kill AU this past year dude... What makes you think that with AU getting much better talent that bama will kill them???

Do you think bama will kill us this year? I am starting to think you love bama. I think you just hate AU because it has been so long since we have beat them.

I am telling you guys, AU will win the west next year, mark my words!

daddy, I am sure everyone is saying the same about us, especially after last night. I think we will be much better next year and see AU in ATL. AU lost 5 games, 3 games by 7 or less including a 5 pt loss against #2 bama. And they just won their bowl game.

And Crompton was barely over 50% the last 7 games (except for Memphis) and 10 games all year??? Yea, he progressed well huh.

Seriously? You think Crompton didn't get better as the year progressed. Last I checked Auburn played a much crappier opponent than we did in their Bowl game. I think you need to just jump ship. Auburn isn't going to win the west over LSU and Bama.

yes auburn has taken it to us lately and they are recruiting well thanks in large part to trooper, however they did just escape northwestern in overtime. auburn will be good next year with cam newton but bama and lsu will have the defenses to contain the malzahn offense next year.

sorry daddy but Cromptons numbers were no better at the end of the year than the first of the year, he was a 50% passer, period.

LSU just got beat, and AU got LA's top players the last two years. LSU will not be in the picture next year, it will be AU and Bama, period. And NW was lucky to be in that game, AU gave them 5 chances to win the game at the end and they still couldn't do it. NW had a better record than us and AU and beat some good teams this year guys.


I don't know how you guys put AU down for beating a decent team when we got totally whipped by Tech, that was embarrassing. But at least daddy thinks Crompton got better at the end of the year, LOL. He was a 50% passer all year except for the GA game (not including W Ky and memphis).

pyscho, you are right. It will also be because of all their RB's, all their WR's, and a veteran OL. And they do have Cam but also 3 other QB's that were 4 stars. Their D is suspect right now but they did get some highly recruited juco players that will be there this spring and have an immediate impact next year. I am telling you guys, AU will be much better next year BUT we will beat them in ATL. I don't think we have beaten AU since 97 guys.

I know alot of you guys hate AU, probably since we have not beaten them the last 4-5 times we played them. BUT they will be in the top of the west, count on that.

Auburn is ahead of us. This should not be a shock, CLK is a good coach but right now we lack talent. We also had a lot of seniors at key spots so losing them could
(I said could not will) cause us to take a step back next year. It will take time for us to be elite again, but if we keep recruiting like we are we should be fine by 2011 season.
