He did want to be a Vol but we wouldn't offer him because he wanted to contend for the starting position.

No, he insisted on being named the starter before he even showed up on campus. Plus, he visited UT and didn't exactly impress the coaches from a mental standpoint.

kp, bama didn't kill AU this past year dude... What makes you think that with AU getting much better talent that bama will kill them???

Do you think bama will kill us this year? I am starting to think you love bama. I think you just hate AU because it has been so long since we have beat them.

I am telling you guys, AU will win the west next year, mark my words!

Bama is good. Auburn got lucky and still lost. Bama will crush you.

There is nothing lamer than a troll signing onto our site as a Vol.

Newton is good, but he isn't good enough to shift the balance of power in the SECW from Bama to Auburn by himself.

sorry daddy but Cromptons numbers were no better at the end of the year than the first of the year, he was a 50% passer, period.

LSU just got beat, and AU got LA's top players the last two years. LSU will not be in the picture next year, it will be AU and Bama, period. And NW was lucky to be in that game, AU gave them 5 chances to win the game at the end and they still couldn't do it. NW had a better record than us and AU and beat some good teams this year guys.

I don't know how you guys put AU down for beating a decent team when we got totally whipped by Tech, that was embarrassing. But at least daddy thinks Crompton got better at the end of the year, LOL. He was a 50% passer all year except for the GA game (not including W Ky and memphis).

I smell an Auburn troll and not a very intelligent one. Crompton TD/Int ratio improved drastically after the first half of the season. Go find an Auburn board or a bridge to crawl under.

Cam wont be by himself. Thats why our recruitng class sits at a number 3 ranking and we are not done yet. I wouldnt be surprised to hit number 1 at signing day. Please use your head before you post

First 4 games: 4 TDs, 8 INTs
Last 8 games: 19 TDs, 4 INTs

You lose...

:eek:lol: You realize Auburn has 27 commits, right? Tennessee has 20. By the time we have 22, we will be ranked ahead of Auburn with 5 extra spots left. USC has 14 commits right now. Texas has 21 and Bama has 23 and both are ahead of Auburn anyway. All four of those teams will finish above Auburn and there will surely be more as well.

Not to mention that one of Auburn's two best recruits is someone Tennessee completely passed on...

If Tennessee's 22 are better than Auburn's 27, which they will be, I'm fairly certain that our 28-30 will be better than Auburn's 33...

You should have lost to the Vanderbilt of the North. Guaranteeing wins over a NC team that's going to be returning a lot of its stars is a bit ridiculous.

Cam Newton didnt want to go to Tennessee. He didnt want to go to Miss St. He was waiting on us to offer him. This crap goes back 2 yrs ago

they need 50 ... they let that piss poor northwestern team hang around that long!!!!! and had to have overtime ...

Ok, so I'm kinda new on here, BUT I have one question and two comments.

1) maybe you can explain it to me Aubie...How can Auburn sign 33 players?? Isn't there a cap in the SEC on the number of new enrollees a team can sign? And as I understand only 2-3 EE's can be back counted? So I can't see how 25 new + 2-3 EEs = 33. Like I said I'm new please explain it to me...

2) From everything I've read Cam Newton is a bit of a headcase. He seems to have a superstar disposition, is demanding and still has discipline problems. UT did not offer him, though some other programs, particularly those who had former UF coaches or coaches familiar with him did offer him and were willing to work with him because of past connections. However, as I recall the coaching staff at AU completely changed from the one that was there 2 years ago - thus to say newton chose AU because he wanted to be there 2 yrs ago is a stretch at best.

3) To my UT brethren - UA is ahead of us in many ways. Thats not a negative thing, just a fact. Tubervillle just left Chizik with a better stocked team than Fulmer left Kiffin & co. Over the past 4 years or so AU had higher ranked recruiting classes than UT except for one season where we had the #4 class and they had the #6 class (scout rankings) Fulmer had classes not even in the top 20 or so...Fulmer failed to recruit top notch talent for years now while AU did. Doesn't say much about AU since they did less with more talent. Will AU be better than Bama or LSU - NO! give Chizik a couple years to use up all the talent he was left with and AU still finishing behind Bama and LSU and not being able to pull in new top talent and AU will still be AU - #2 or 3 in SECW... Give UT 2-3 years and we will be back to competing for SEC Champs. What the loss to VA TECH should have made clear - our team was slower, smaller and nowhere near as deep as VT. Our O-line was flat dominated. Give Kiffin some time to recruit SEC talent and speed...then lets compare teams...til then its irrelevant
