'10 JUCO WR Kenbrell Thompkins

i dont see the explosiveness or the ability to split the seam and outrun a secondary. i see very good hands and shiftiness, change of direction. im thinking posession reciever who could be very dangerous in small spaces inside of the redzone. in my opinion, not a number 1 reciever

This is what will help him down the field, making a DB miss is better than flat out speed. But i do think he has the speed to split the seem. IMO he will rotate with Dmoe, and Gjones.

A drag route is when the wr/te whomever runs a route just about 1-2 yrds off the line accross the field. Similar to 5 yrd in except not nearly as far off the line. Im almost 99% sure on this, but hey im not a WR coach. :)

Yeah you're right on this. What he's really talking about is a crossing route since it's 12-15 yards downfield.

He's fast. You can tell by looking at his turnover. He's 6'2 and moving like that.

KT is smooth like Ambles but has the speed to separate from a defender. I see both players seeing significant time next year.Moore and KT have the speed CLK wants on the field. Some that saw a lot of time this season, may not see that same time next year with the talent coming in. The best will play.

Foot meet mouth.

Is being paid by ESPN to cover recruiting for their affiliate boards qualify as "self-proclaimed"? He's here to help us out and you aren't helping the cause.

It seems like you're wrong about most everything so lay-off calling people out for a while. :good!:

I don't know the guy. He did self-proclaim himself a recruiting analyst. I didn't get the memo apparently.

As for me being wrong, I would enjoy hearing the specifics. JJ is the obvious one, I'll give you that. I also said Jeff Luc to UT, but everyone did. Hard to forecast that one with Gran leaving.

Not saying I'm always right, but I'm definitely not wrong about most everything. Just throwing that out there...

No hard feelings.:hi:

Thanks for picking out a misclick. Considering that I just put the sig on to make sure that you know I'm not some random Joe feeding you information you might want to give me a break.

I've broken down both Thompkins and Harris on film over half a year ago.

Thompkins would have twice as many offers if his character issues weren't so apparant off the field. UT is going to take a risk, but I believe from talking with people close to EL Camino that it is a risk worth taking.

To go more in detail, Thompkins is the type of player that can take a 10-12 drag route the distance with a single move. He moves well in space despite being 6 foot 4 and 195 pounds. He can beat defensive backs over the top and also take a hitch/slant pattern the distance.

He's a physical receiver that has blazing speed, very similar to UGA's AJ Green.

My bad cat. I don't know who you are. Anyone can make a sig.

I just figured a recruiting analyst might hold off on the phrase "future NFL star" just a little longer. I agree, he's going to be an impact player at UT... that's JMO. I'd like to see that first before I call him a future NFL star. As for his film, I've seen what's on ESPN and Youtube. Impressive, but again, it is JUCO. I'd like to see him do some of that in the SEC.

To each his own. Didn't mean to sound like a jerk.

PS: Guys at top of page are right. Drag routes don't usually run 10-12 yards. Normally in front of LBs about 3-6 yards from LOS... but tomato tomahto.

:peace2:

Everyone's a critic, just share what you know. Just like we hope Will does.

If message boards were made for only fact, the activity would cut by about 99%.

Most of this stuff is opinion, chatter, rumors, and wishful thinking. The only facts are copied and pasted from other sites.

But I know I can be critical sometimes. Anytime I see some dude with 30 posts that calls himself a recruiting analyst... even if his user ID says "Tom Lemming" I'm going to assume it's someone making up an account unless they tell me something noone else knows.

I don't consider someone telling me Kenbrell Thompkins is going to be good as insider info. Do you? Serious question there, not being sarcastic.

Guys, need help with something....

I've been looking for a picture Hubbs has of Thompkins. It's a close up with his helmet off where he's rocking the man-beard. I want to use it as my new avatar.

PM it to me or just post it here. I've been looking for it for a week now. Thanks fellas.
