Yea I did that as a joke Cus last nite I noticed a few VNers & VQers on Twitter even found some V,Bers :eek:lol:

I believe I saw futureVOL on there too

I think it looks really bad on Dooley for not releasing this kid. He committed to X. We are really deep at WR......why not let him go play at Cincy? I know CDD is gonna say "we didnt release him cause he didnt even give us a chance" but I still dont agree with it. The ESPN article is 100% correct......the system is so slanted against the athlete its pathetic. The coaches dont have to show any loyalty to their contract at all, yet the 19tr old kids are expected to. I dont condone allowing transfers because of a player just being upset with playing time, but exceptions should be made when there are coaching changes.

Dooley's hands are tied. AD Mike Hamilton said no EE would be released from their LOIs. You can't be selective and release certain guys and not release others.

While I feel for Kenbrell and others as well, I completely disagree with the above statement. Show me any commitment letter that even implies a binding agreement between player and COACH. The commitment is to the university... if the player doesn't understand that then just consider it a life lesson.

I don't understand why this guy just didn't come on to UT when they told him they wouldn't release him from his LOI. If he has the talent that everyone says he has, then he would be starting this season instead of now sitting out another season and really hurting his chances to go to the NFL. Also, as the post describes above, recruits need to understand they commit to the university not to a coach, coaches come and go.

You mean to tell me that you actually believe these young men ALWAYS make their commitment to the institution, not to the coaches that recruit them for 2-3 years? I think that is putting your head in the sand, IMO. 99% of the time, the out of state kids come to UT because of the COACHES. Think of how you would feel.....you spend 2 years getting to know these coaches, they fill you full of all the success you are going to have under them and all they are going to teach you. You enroll early to get started on your college career......then 2 weeks later the entire staff is gone, replaced by complete strangers that you are just supposed to automatically trust with your athletic and academic future. If I am in that situation, I would want and think I deserve the opportunity to look around and possibly go play for coaches at another school that I have an actual relationship with. I am pretty much playing devils advocate here.....I didnt want all our early commits jumping ship either, but I do see their side of things.

I wouldn't release anyone unless a family emergency. These guys are adults and need to honor their commitments

How many 18 y.o. men sign a commit to Uncle Sam. You don't hear him saying, " Your recruitment officer left so you can leave if you want." What happened to a man's word, is a mans word? LIFE IS NOT FAIR! GBO

Very nice post. I do feel bad for Kenbrell though.

I'm not a coach or an AD so I'm not gonna act like I know more about these situations than Dooley or Hamilton but today on College Football Live they said that the way we are handling this could be bad for recruiting. I do think this is a lot different than the Bryce Brown saga so really don't understand not lettin this kid outta his LOI. Dooley did a good job holdin on to recruits after Kiffin bolted so let this kid go. We are stacked at WR anyway.

I don't see how anyone could the bb situation is bad for recruiting. The kid slipped town without talking to the coach. Very immature of you ask me. Dooley said from the start he isn't on the team because r didn't show up for practices. Sorry. He was being a pre-madonna and Dooley didn't go for it. I'm happy CDD didn't bow down, shows weakness, especially amongst your team (that you rely on one player that much).
