Brent Hubbs just wrote an excellent article on him for Volquest. I'm not a copy paste guy, so go to Volquest and pony up the 10 bucks a month. It is worth it guys.

He goes to the same high school as Raynoch Thompson.

He is hoping for an SEC scholly.

We are very high on his list.

And he is gonna go to Bama and LSU camp.

IMO, we need to offer him if he has a good LSU camp. Kinda reminds me of Cortland Finnegan.

I saw another Rivals story on him yesterday where he said that LSU is his 1st option and Tennessee is his #2...

It would be nice if Tennessee kids wanted to play for UT as much as Louisana kids want to play for LSU. It seems like 99.9% of these kids from LA want to play at LSU more than anything in the world.

Maybe because LSU has 2 national titles this decade and Tennessee has 2 losing seasons.

I was thinking more along the lines of in-state passion and loyalty. However, I guess your condescending and pretentious post solves the riddle perfectly. After all recruiting is purely black and white. What is sarcasm?

Janzen, Broussard, Anthony Johnson, Hilliard?

Where was that in-state passion in the 90's when Ed Reed, Reggie Wayne, et al were coming up?

Lousiana also has a deeper talent pool so players will leak out.

It seems from everything I hear it is hard to nab kids from Lousiana. Meanwhile, it is a struggle for UT to keep the top players in state. Just my opinion.

Oh yeah, Broussard has said with an LSU offer he will most likely sign with them.

Before he commited...

And Auburn is leading for the #1 player in LA now. Might not hold. Just sayin...

Orgeron and Wilson are probably the 2 best recruiters for the state of LA, and that includes the LSU staff. If LSU had those 2, no other school would have a prayer at landing any of those players...

Memphis is closer to about 6 SEC schools than it is to UT.

I know who he is. He is the only reason I said "probably." You put the Cajun Yetti and the New Orleans hometown hero down there, no recruits would leave imo...

so in your opinion, Frank Wilson is "probably" better than Rivals' 2-time national recruiter of year...:salute:

In New Orleans, yes. In the rest of LA, no. In the rest of America, no...

You really think they lead for Trovon Reed?

Yea, I'm just going by what he says. The things that some LSU fans say on tigerdroppings make me think that Reed doesn't wanna stay in-state as well. But like I said, it might not hold...

Seastrunk has said that, but Trovon has never said that Auburn leads.

Tigerdroppings sometimes is just a bunch of nervous nellies. :)

After his performance at camp, why in the world have we not offered this kid yet? The Rivals article says he favors LSU.....but we are 2nd. We need to pull the trigger on this kid. AS soon as he camps at LSU we are gonna lose him for sure if we havent offered before them.

I was wondering the same thing as well sir. The kid shut down everyone. I guess the staff is not sold on him they might have to view game film. I say offer the kid and make an impression.

you might want to get acquainted with this guy---

LSU's Porter the Rivals.com 2007 National Recruiter of the Year - USATODAY.com

He also won recruiter of the year at Rivals again in 2009.

He is no pushover.

Rivals.com - Class of 2009: Top 25 recruiters
He's also the guy that Joe McKnight texted Frank Wilson and called "fake." Just saying.

Seastrunk has said that, but Trovon has never said that Auburn leads.

Auburn seems to think they lead for everyone that visits them or has any interest in them. I think it's desperation that leads to their delusion. They will get their share of players, but none of the big runningbacks they think they lead for (even though Lattimore took them off of his list of top schools they think they have a shot) and Reed stays instate IMO. They just landed the Richardson kid which is a big pickup and there's another guy that they are about to land too. They'll do well, but not nearly as well as you would be led to believe were you to listen to the fans.

If the kid shut down every WR at the Camp, I don't see why he wasn't offered on the spot. I understand that pads, gmae situation, etc are also contributing factors, but come on, he shut down the 7 on 7 and the 1 vs 1. He came all the way from Louisiana to a 1 day camp has to stand for something. The kid efinitely is interested, and we need to scoop him up before everyone else gets their dibs in.
