I was meaning if the QB goes out and recruits for you too. I mean heaps would give us a recruiter on the west coast.

I'd love to get this guy in Orange but it sounds like there is no chance

You mean there's no chance like there was no chance we would sign the #1 player in the country this past year?

Anything is possible with this staff

are you and Kevin friends, Sab?

I don't, and I am pretty sure that Sab doesn't have anything against him personally. The way he comes off is what rubs me the wrong way. Other than that, he's an OK guy in my book. That being said, I don't have a problem with Scout to answer dyer's comment, I have a problem with the way they handle articles and keeping up with visits. It's very obvious they have had to retract more than Volquest, which is why I refer to VQ more than Scout.

And that's fair, you have posted valid reasons now and in the past. You don't find the need to make comments about Scout on here when references are posted. My comparison was on that basis and wasn't meant to imply anything further. I'll clarify I don't know Kevin in any capacity personally. Only have seen his posts on here in the past and the responses from a couple of people in particular who don't seem to want anything that comes out of his mouth posted here. I think that does the rest of us a disservice no matter how you feel about his opinions, sources, approach, whatever.

Why would we just now be coming to see this kid?

Probably because this period is the first time that coaches can evaluate. He's pretty wide open from what I can tell and our priority has been to see those that are narrowing down their lists for the most part.

I don't have any issue with it being posted. I just have a problem with people acting like he's the final say or something. He's wrong more frequently than right. Quoting him as a source is misleading to the people that aren't aware that he has no clue what he's talking about most of the time.

I see your point. Everything has to be taken with a grain of salt. I can't speak to the accuracy of his statements historically although I know he had James leaning our way who in turn is Bama bound. You had him going Bama and didn't waver. I think most of us don't have a clue who has sources or who goes by the gut. KS has access, that's more than most of us have.

Kevin's sources are NYC and Blur. He may also talk to Basillio who talks to "X" but that's as far as his sources go.

I wonder how hard our staff will go at him. Obviously we made a push with Brown but honestly signing day was wrapping up while we were still in the mix with him. Does anyone know how hard are staff is pushing to get this kid.

I know a member of the coaching staff went to seen him, or will. I hope he comes down to our camp. He is a stud. He will be the next Andre Smith IMO.

This guy moves his feet really well for someone his size. Definately looks like the makings of a 'cornerstone' for an OL. Kid really needs to look at who would be coaching him here at UT. Can you say 1st round draft pick?

HUGE NEWS.....per hubbs

The big man from the Land of Lakes just told me he will be through Knoxville in June for an unofficial visit. He speaks with the Vol coaches every couple of weeks and the Vols have a good shot at an official visit.
