This kid is a difference maker on the OL. Sure hope we can keep him from Bama. The depth chart certainly favors us.

I hope the staff pull out all the stops on this kid. He would be the biggest get of the '10 class to date in my opinion.

I watched this guy play last year when they played Brunetti's MUS squad. The kid is a freaking beast. Everything that I heard about Olive Branch's OL to that point revolved around Aubrey Phillips. I remember coming away from the game wondering why the heck we had offered Phillips. Everything that we have heard about him recently fit the bill that night. Robinson was impressive though. I kept thinking to myself that I really hoped there had been a misprint on the roster because Robinson was clearly better than Phillips. An undersized, but scrappy MUS team held their own in beating OB that night, but I do not remember this kid being anything but a road grader.

For whatever reason, Ole Miss has not really had success with this school that I remember. One of their DB's is a freshman at Alabama and of course we have Walls here. I really think that this kid would be a superb pickup for us.

He has Alabama and Tennessee far ahead of everybody else. Thanks for the eval BTW.

Robinson is 100X's better than Phillips. Phillips was never any good, he was just a big body that had okay feet.

Damien Robinson – #29 Overall / OT – Olive Branch (Miss.)
The skinny: Currently lists favorites as Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, and Tennessee.

Chad Simmons breakdown: He recently took a trip to Mississippi State, but it appears that was more of a courtesy visit and he will end up leaving the state. It looks like the two that stand out now are Alabama and Tennessee. I am going to go with Tennessee and that may surprise some, but I feel Bama may be all but done on the OL and the Vols are going hard after him.
Chad Simmons prediction: Tennessee.

I might disagree with Simmons on that statement about UA done recruiting OLine for the 2010 class. I think we take one more. Who that is at this point I got an idea or two but not sure.
