How many spots do you think they realistically have left on the line? Arent they also trying to recruit Glass?

I think the concensus is we will take one of the three. Stone, Robinson, and Arie. I believe the staff wants one more OL for the 2010 class. But those three seem to be the targets at the moment. So if one does the other two won't be in Crimson. Then again we might not get any of them. Who knows.

From what I know, that's the case with James Stone from rumors I have heard. They have stepped it up on Damien because of that. That's just what I have heard though.
yeah, I read that Bama was telling him they wanted him as a Guard but he doesn't want to play Guard...

I just try to call it the way I see it. Plus I dont see the need to come on a rival site and stir things up. I dont mind a little trash talk, but I wouldn't want certian type of rival fans on our boards just to be a pain. I am a Bama fan, but still have respect for other boards. On the one Bama board I stay on we have a few UT fans that are very respectful and highly liked along with a few LSU and USC fans. What makes that board so nice is we don't get the homers from rivals on there and if they do show up like some on here they get booted from the board. I like it when they post because they bring some info to the boards that we might not have. I try to do the same here and try not to be to bias, but maintain my Tide fan status.

If you want to trash a rival team do on your own board I believe.

I was told Arie is the guy Alabama is still going hard after out of the 3 (Stone and Robinson). Could be wrong but that is what I was told.

I had heard some fairly recent "rumblings" that LSU might have a bit of a lead for Robinson. However, I heard very recently from a reliable source (professional recruiting analyst/writer) that UT appears to be Robinson's leader. Any of y'all hearing anything about UT moving into the lead for him?

I have heard it's a dog fight between us and you guys, TS. I tend to think you win that battle because you can put pressure on him to commit that we cannot. We'll see.

TS, I haven't heard UT is his leader, though a scout analyst predicted he would sign with Tennessee, but i have heard from a very reliable source (a guy from bama, a professional analyst) that LSU and Alabama have backed off him somewhat, and that bodes well for Tennessee.

Thanks, Sab & jmva1.

As best I can tell, I believe Bama really wants and has room for one more OL commitment and would take one from either Kouandjio, Stone or Robinson. There was a report from ESPN recently hinting that Bama may be closer to getting a commiment from Kouandjio. I'll let you guys know if I hear anything else.

That's exactly what I've heard and I think the only guy that they may have backed off of is Stone and I'm not quite sure why unless they have heard something of his intentions. Keep us informed, friend. :good!:

Give me one of Stone, Robinson, and Kouandjio and I'm happy.

Assuming Bama gets 1, maybe we can get 2 :)...unlikely I know.

At this time, I'm hearing that Bama's top two OL left are Stone and Kouandjio, with Robinson being after them.

I don't think we are really in it for K.

I don't think we really are either, but if he's on the top of Bama's board and goes there it leaves Robinson and Stone as possibilities.

I don't think it will happen, just drinking some orange kool-aid tonight.

OL are tough guys to read. They usually talk the least during interviews and big OL we're going after seem to be far away from committing, so a lot of stuff can happen. Whether something happens in our favor or not is yet to be seen.
