Nothing. He is very, very secretive in his recruitment...

Trying to get some news on the local front here.

Got to see him play in person last year and was very impressed. Actually, with all the hoopla around Phillips last year, I had thought he was Phillips. They play MUS is a big game tomorrow night. Going to try my best to get out there to watch it and maybe dig up a little scoop.

I don't know very much about the girl - but Bama fans believe (or a lot of em) that it's between Ole Miss and the Tide.

I think we are in good shape for right now. He isn't going to do anything until winter. Bama fans think they have everybody. LSU is a team to watch out for I've heard...

I was just listening to the sports animal and a caller "on his cell phone, calling from 1500 miles away" called in and blind sided Jimmy and The boys. He said that coaches from UT and MSU were calling kids between midnight and 5 AM and that the parents and coaches were none to happy about it. "If it's going on in Mississippi it's going on everywhere", he said. While it was entertaining to hear the deafening silence, it was a bit worrisome. He finished off with something to the affect of, the coaches in question weren't raised right. I posted this here cause Robinson is from Miss. feel free to move.

Caller also said his son is on the team...that this school had 9 D1 prospects last year and 3 this year and that the coaches and parents got together and made strict guidelines for coaches to follow. Brent Hubbs said a minute ago that he'd not heard any complaints from players yet this year.

My guess is the caller is full of it.

Some fans might, but not all. I think we have a legit shot at DR but it really depends on what the coaches feel at this point. We might only take four more for this class. So possibly one more OL and I think it will come down between DR and Arie. Really depends on if one commits or not and win. The problem we have is I think we get one more LB/WR/DB so only room for one more OL. We will see though, because if some of the other rumors about player interest in us come to be we might not take any OL at this point besides what we already have.

I guess he could be...he seemed really upset about it though, saying at one point UT will slit it's own throat with the parents, coaches and players...I'm just the messenger, you could be correct.

I know I would be pissed if someone called my house at those hours of the night and it wasn't an emergency.

doesn't sound legit, our staff knows better. Maybe it was the first day couaches could contact players. I kniw some got calls at 0500-0600 but I doubt they called from midnight on over into the morning. I wouldn't entertain this rumor.

I think you guys take two more OL especially after losing Jawuan. Can you guys not backcount any?

Yes we can backcount 3 I think, but we have 3 grayshirts that will take those spots. We could sign 7 more in this class, but would have to grayshirt 3 again. We will have 25 scholarships availible this coming year for 2010. The problem is after that we are probably not going to be able to backcount anymore. So I think we just take 4 more and take maybe only 20 for the 2011 class. We still have a very young team.

If I had to guess are picks would be K Allen, CJ Mosley (or if we get lucky J Hicks), 1 OL D Robinson/A Kouandjio/ James Stone, and 1 DB M Harris or J Fulton. Anything is possible but I believe those guys are the highest on the board and fill needs. We will have 17 OL right now for next year if we recruit no more on the roster. Only 4 four of those will be seniors with one being a starter. So I think we only go after one more OL.

I agree with Arie, but I could be wrong on 1 or 2. But looking at the numbers and positions that seem to be important I think only one more. I would love to see DR at Bama, but right now not sure who they will take. The nice thing about Arie is his brother might follow in 2011.
