Ambles is a good kid. Known him for awhile. His "attitude" problem is cussing. No big deal.

Can't colleges only give like 56 officials a year or something? I doubt we're running close enough that we wouldn't let a kid like this come if he wanted.

I do not know how I am starting controversy...

We are talking about character now more so than it seems we did during the Orgeron "no angels" time period.

When we have a recruit who is an absolute stud and you know for certain that several schools in the SEC quit recruiting him...

I love Ambles and think he will be great here, not like Nuke and Edwards and JJ.

But, something definitely happened. He alluded to it on the sports animal after he committed.

He just said that there was an incident at, IIRC, his old high school, and that he and UGA decided to pursue other options. Something like that.

Ambles has sure been turned away from quite a few places for a cussing "incident". UGA, USC, UF, Under Armour All American game invite revoked, etc.

Maybe he has Tourette Syndrome and he just can't stop himself from cussing all the time?

DB Victor Hampton (5-10 175) of Darlington says he won't take any more official visits and is working on a decision between USC and Tennessee which he will announce at the Army All American Game in January. "I've seen all the schools I've wanted to see, so I don't see any reason to set any other visits," Hampton said. He added that Tennessee has been coming at him pretty hard. He took an official visit to USC in mid November, and he's taken unofficial visits to USC and Tennessee. Gamecock recruiter Ellis Johnson met with him last week. He might take in a bowl practice at USC. Hampton said there's no favorite between the Gamecocks and Vols right now.

USC lite is the home favorite.

Gonna be tough to land him IMO.

You may be right. He did come on 2 unofficials though. One for a practice right before the season started, and one for a game (either WKU or UCLA)...

three-star cornerback victor hampton (darlington, s.c.) told espn affiliate web site thebigspur.com, "i still plan on (announcing jan. 9). I'm really high on south carolina right now. They are pretty much my leader."

hampton added that tennessee is still in his top two, but that he hasn't heard from the vols in "two or three" weeks.
