'10 NY PF Tobias Harris

I really don't understand it. We lose Tyler and Wayne after this year. They could both come in and contribute, possibly even start, next year. They are two completely different games as well.

The whole Pinkston/Harris thing is funny. Two days ago, it seemed like Pinkston was a Vol and Harris was scared away to Cuse. A few hours later, Harris was a Vol as was Pinkston. By the next morning, Pinkston had changed his mind and it indeed seems like he is scared away and will probably end up in Nova.

Pinkston was 100% Vol two days ago. He still loves Tennessee, there are just some wrinkles thrown into the equation with Harris coming to UT that need to be ironed out.

After a surprise visit to Tennessee on Tuesday, prized recruit Tobias Harris may commit to the Volunteers today.

According to Torrel Harris (Tobias' father), "The decision has been made at 11:56 p.m. [Wednesday]. The Tobias college world tour has ended. We appreciate all the great coaches who recruited Tobias."

Tobias and his father visited Knoxville for the UT-UNC Asheville game and later Torrel told Adam Zagoria of Zagsblog.net that "We made an unexpected visit to watch the game and congratulated the coach [Bruce Pearl] for his 100th win in the SEC and then we left."

The Harris announcement could trigger a decision from fellow top recruit JayVaughn Pinkston. We wrote yesterday that Pinkston, who was suppose to announce yesterday, would hold off his decision until the spring. Much like Lance Stephenson and Xavier Henry last season, Pinkston may want to know where Harris will go since, according to one DI assistant recruiting the players, "There's no way they're going to the same school."

Yeah but it's been noted by most every expert that there are two possibilities here. He signs early and almost guarantee he's a Vol. Or he signs late and that chance drops significantly. Unless he had a change of heart and signed to UT at the last moment, I doubt he ends up as a Vol.

I agree that they would both find time, but I'm pretty sure they would both be at the 4 with Kenny and B. Williams at the 5.

Pinkston would still get plenty of time. Bruce needs to show him how he would use both him and Harris.

I wouldn't go this far quite yet. JayVaughn still loves the idea of playing for Tennessee.

I am with you. Some are speculating that Tennessee pulled their offer to Pinkston, but that's just ridiculous. If it were true, however, even the most staunch Pearl supporters would have to question the move, regardless of where Harris goes.

We really need another big for depth next year. Pinkston would fit perfectly. I don't trust Woolridges development and Negedu would possibly still be out. With that in mind, has it been confirmed his career is over or is that still in question?
