'10 OK ATH Demarco Cobbs

QUOTE=wounded mullet;2673956]He was just nervous because somebody pranked him before we went on camera and told him Crompton still had a year of eligibility left..[/QUOTE]

I thought he did pretty well and was one of the better speakers of all the commitment vids ive seen.

He could have been worse. Whos the guy that committed to Bama last year that had to have more swag to his hat?

I'd still like to see us go after Chase Rettig, or at least Garret Grayson (who I think will have a monster year), and just let them duke it out in Spring and fall camp for the starting spot.
If Stephens isn't a better option than what we had this Saturday, then it's going to come down to Lamaison or a freshman. I'd say there's about a 75% chance that it's Bray. If Stephens doesn't show up this fall, I say give Bray 1st team snaps all the way, this Spring. We're also going to need some OL prospects to be able to graduate early and show up for Spring ball. OL is probably our No.1 need right now. A guy like Henderson could practically come in and start as a true freshman if they can be an early enrollee. Maybe Stone as well.

"I'm excited to get it over. I wouldn't say it's a huge burden, but Tennessee was always my leader since I visited there. I felt like I was at home. I'm totally comfortable and confident with my decision."

"I just felt comfortable with them," Cobbs said. "I got real close with the coaches and players. I just felt like it was the best place for me and the best place to be."

"I think we can do big things," Cobbs said. "I've seen highlights of those guys and I think we can be a tremendous receiving corps."

"I'm going to try my best with the recruiting," Cobbs said. "Facebook and Myspace, I'm going to be hitting up all the big time players about joining me."

Per VQ... V,B

You guys are way too critical, the young man did a fantastic job. Who wouldn't be nervous being interviewed on live TV about one of the most important decisions of his life! It's not like he was giving a speech in front of a teacher and 20 of his peers about something as unimportant as toothpaste!

Well spoken young man from everything I've heard, look forward to seeing him in orange!

Well put!

S. Henderson and Stone needs to hounded by these receivers and Bray. We lose 4 seniors on the OL this year, and we need some guys who can come in and show up as freshmen. If Bray doesn't have time to throw, it won't matter how good these WR's are.

BTW, anyone know which, if any, of these WR's will be early enrollee's. I think that is going to be critical to them getting into the 1-2 spots on the Depth chart next fall.

I think he may have tried to beat Kenny Stills for a final WR spot, as Stills was at the game this weekend.

If Meline is expecting to go on defense, then there should still be room for Stills

its a thing of beauty!! and p.s- he is a vol now so shut up about the camera crap. he will be cetching TD's in Orange in knoxville instead of cry baby blue in gainesville or poop brown in alabama or even piss yellow in creole country..GO VOLS!!

All we need now is some more O Lineman and this class will be truly SICK.

Damn can you imagine what other suprises Lane and his staff has in store for us before Signing Day.

You can bet by Feb we will have landed another top flight QB.

I will bet that Lane will cause a Decommitment somewhere now that we have all the WRs

I'd be nervous too if I was in the heart of big 12 country and was committing to an SEC school..The announcer did not seem pleased..Glad to have you on board! I am suprised he mentioned academics but not Neyland Stadium. I guess Neyland doesn't really need to be mentioned. It speaks for itself.

I like Bray and all, but we need help at QB so bad, we need all the insurance we can get...and sign another one, in case Bray just doesn't work out...like Crompton hasn't.

He may have been a little nervous but he sure looked happy when he said "University Of Tennessee BABY! Ya gotta love that :)
