Among those in attendance were Florida State's Chuck Amato, Tennessee's Lance Thompson and Monte Kiffin and Auburn's Tommy Thigpen.

his summer, Owens plans to camp at LSU, Tennessee, Florida State, Alabama and Auburn with the possibility of adding on to that list as well. After his performance on Friday night, more programs may continue to push hard for his presence at camp and for his signature in February.

Per Rivals... CMK and CLT were at the recent scrimmage between Jess Lanier and Pelham. Jake Holland and Nigel Terrell play for Pelham...

I haven't watched his film but I've played against Jess Lanier in the past. One thing about their LBs they are always very physical and nasty hitters. Demeco Ryans is from Lanier.

4.49! Wow. Now I bet he can cover some ground. Real strong too. CLT is really good at finding LBs, we may have one here.

2010 is weak on linebackers so we need only pick the very best out of this small pool. This guy had tremendous speed for and LB. Still want Luc.

Seriously we need to come hard in Alabama. There are a lot of good athletes in the state. I think the HS coaching here is somewhat behind though as a whole.

Alabama is down in 2010. But u r correct. Having a TennSC presence is Bama is great. The do a good job of cherry picking players in out backyard. Weneed to do the same to them and close our borders

Rivals mentioned that Tenn is becoming a better state for talent. I think the 2011 class will be loaded

The friendship between Pelham (Ala.) High linebacker Jake Holland, who has committed to Auburn, and Bessemer (Ala.) Jess Lanier 'backer LaDarius Owens is good news for the Tigers. Owens is being double-teamed by Auburn super-recruiters Trooper Taylor and Tommy Thigpen, and the Tigers look to be in good position for Owens. It looks as if it could come down to an Auburn-Alabama battle.

From Mike Farrell...

"I’m going to LSU, Tennessee and Florida State for sure,” Owens explains. “I might check out some other schools if it comes up, but I know that I’m going to those three."

Per Scout...

No way he leaves the state of Alabama for LSU or FSU. I think UT is the only school who could crash the UA/AU party.

We are in play with practically any defensive recruit in the southeast with a least half a brain (yes that would automatically disqualify 'Bama commits, I was getting to it), without having to lift a finger.

Monte Kiffin, boys. We better cherish him while he's here, because his name by itself is one of the best recruiting pitches in all the land for defensive prospects

Owens is in Knoxville now per Hubbs. Don't think he is attending camp just checking out UTK "unoffically".

espn...

Most believe it will be an Alabama-Auburn battle for ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive end LaDarius Owens. However, ESPN affiliate Web site EyesOnTheTigers.com reports that LSU and Tennessee are in the running.

"They're in my top four," Owens said. "LSU is one of my favorite programs. They're known for winning championships."

Owens said of the Vols' staff, "It was really good to see how they run things. Those coaches are intense."

Last fall, he registered 92 tackles, 18 sacks and three forced fumbles.

'I can't go wrong between LSU, 'Bama, FSU, Tennessee and Auburn. They are all great schools and it will be a tough decision. But I want to get this behind me to focus on my senior year. I've been blessed."

Having a press conference Friday.

We're just there to have another hat on the table, I think he goes to Auburn.

Auburn, especially since his dad was the first African American to play football their. A big legacy so would suprised to see him go elsewhere. He did have a good time at our camp this week but I do see him a tigger.
