'10 PREP OL Morgan Moses

So, I'm pretty bothered by what one of comments made by a member here. They said Morgan's dad did not want his son playing in a disciplined environment that Lane is instilling now. Are you kidding me? So sending his son to a school far away where a coach is going to try to prevent a kid into getting in trouble is a bad thing?!?!?

Have you ever seen Morgan moses play? Not just a highlight tape I mean a whole game? I have and he does not dominate! Maybe he dominates kids who are smaller then him and when I say smaller Im talking 175-200 if that. When put up against a guy his size he will get exposed. Hell I saw a team here in Richmond who played them put a short muscle head on him and the kid dominated moses all night. MM is lazy at times and is weak for his size. There is no way he is the #1 OT in the country! NO WAY! His size is great but has alot of body fat which IMO is not good either. There ia also talk of him going to prep school as well. If Lan is as good as they say he will look past all of the talk and see that this kid has alot of work to do.

Moses has been doing well at all of the practices, but one of the biggest complaints was he's not really in shape right now.

It won't matter where he signs, his grades aren't good enough for him to go anywhere right away; he's juco/prep school bound.

Thanks for the welcome Orange ParmeJohn! Been a huge Vols fan for years. I love what Coach K is doing and I also love that Tennessee decided to give a young coach a chance. I also hope my post didnt sound like I was dogging the kid because I wasnt. He is a pretty good kid Just IMHO and alot of others around here that he is not as good as these people are saying. If you go on to loook at his highlight tapes look who he is against in most of them. Some small kid who he crushes or some tall, lanky kid. "IF" he plays he will go up against some of the best and I dont see him doing so hot.

I have been saying this for a while now but everyone is still stuck on his videos against obvious weak talent. Thanks for the true insight.

I have read, from a few diffferent places, that Moses is really struggling in pass protection at practice. A few places have said that he might drop down to a 4 star recruit. He just can't adjust to the speed of elite athletes.

On the flipside, Fluker is killing people and will most definitely move up to the #1 OT and possibly #1 overall recruit in the nation.

this kid has been getting whipped at both all star games he has been at. I have heard he may not even be 4 star good

Watched the guy get man handled all game long in his final playoff game. kid that signed with tech and a jr. destroyed this guy, another case of RIvals being clueless on evaluation. The guy was still in his stance by the time guys were blowing pass him.
.

he eliminated UT from consideration, so it really doesnt matter, he can go "bust" somewhere else.

Hes got a huge upside and i think thats what his ranking is based on. Give him some real coaching and he could be a big time player but everything i have seen from him is either he blows up little guys or gets destroyed by anyone who resembles a D1 athlete especially the big time players. Hargrave will be good for him for many reasons.

Renner went on to explain the relationship that's developed between he and Moses.

"I met him (Moses) for the first time out in Hawaii and we've been in contact ever since," Renner said. "I told him that he needed to get on board [for UNC] because they're on the way up and he said "Yeah," and decided to come for an official."

According to Renner, he and Moses have become fast friends in recent weeks.

"Morgan is like my best friend now," he said. "He's a really cool guy. We picked him up on the way and I think he enjoyed it a lot."

The new found friends keep in contact with each other frequently. Renner said he thinks the Tar Heels have a good chance of landing Rivals.com's #1 ranked offensive tackle.

"We probably talk just about every day. We text each other," said the nation's No. 10 pro-style quarterback prospect. "I hope we can get him and I think he definitely enjoyed his visit. He said that UNC is in his top three right now."

Moses has academic issues and may have to play JUCO for a year to qualify. If he does get in, he needs to red-shirt. He is big but not as strong as he should be. He had a bad showing at the AA game. He is a little over rated. Fluker is better.

It looks like it could be UNC and Virginia for Moses although he still might take a visit to Ohio State after Signing Day. I assume the OSU visit depends on whether the Buckeyes get Marcus Hall.
