I want Moses more than anybody, even Brown. The games are won in the trenches and the last 5 years Tennessee's line play has been rather poor.
We had arguably the best o-line in the country last year, and all 5 starters returned for this year. The difference was the OC.
But on the other hand I completely agree that he should be our #1 priority at this point.
The best O-line in the country in '07? That is very debatable....
O-line only gave up 4 sacks in '07 (best in the nation), but a lot of that had to do with Ainge getting rid of the ball quickly as well as his ability to backpeddle and throw off of his back foot.
Also, the O-line was ranked 9th in the SEC in rushing in '07 (139 rush yards per game). Even though you could point the finger, in part, to Cutcliffe's play calling as a major reason for a lack of a consistent run game you would find it difficult to convince anyone that they were the best O-line in the country in '07.
Did I not say arguably? Yeah. That was not my point. My point was that the line play was not that poor like he was suggesting. Why does everyone want to argue about anything and everything?
The offensive line wasn't even close to the best in the nation. Ainge got rid of the ball fast. The sack stat is incredibly overrated. Show me a dominant running game and i'll show you a dominant OL.
It's a message board in the offseason, we are supposed to argue about everything. Also, the line play was poor. Watch a game this year and focus only on our O-Line. They are routinely 3-5 yards in the backfield. O-Line play was our biggest weakness this year.
