Marcus can see the writing on the wall and did and got the hell outta knoxville. He must be pretty smart. Told ya you gotta play by the rules. Bammer is gonna get the death penalty before its over. I hope the NCAA hammers whoever is cheating. I sensed Lanie was shady.

Unless they can prove that UT organized it I doubt the coaches or school will get in trouble here. The only thing to worry about though is if the NCAA feel these hostesses acted in a manner as a recruiter for the school all the players in question could be preventd from signing with UT. The timing probably has to do with the fact that some of these players are EE for the spring semester.

Could they at least put someone on the story that is familiar with the "nomenclature". I wonder how these guys feel about being "orally committed"? I bet they prefer the word "verbally". I know it makes me much more comfortable.

This is right up there with "Roughing the Snapper".

The timing here of such a lame issue says that one of our competitor coaches whined to Slive about this. When Slive went to the NYT to get max exposure, it was a Freudian slip as he was "paying" for the investigative journalism we saw.

unless they can prove without a doubt that these girls were in fact UT hostesses (or even UT students), they have nothing. this will be very hard to do. really pretty girls at a high school football game, imagine that! secondly, he would have to have had more contact with them than just seeing a sign in the stands, to know they were UT hostesses. come on, tell the real story here kid. this is just another ploy to distract from what CLK has started here.:stop:

The timing absolutely points to a whine to Slive from one of two or three coaches.

The article is weak, the claim is weak, yet it's in the NYT? I understad that you mess with the bull, you get the horns, but this is pathetic.

guys, ill be willing to bet money Marcus didnt 'dis' his teammates, those three are like brothers and i cant see him doing that!! Dantheman, you might not want him but the coach staff wants him.........
