'10 RB Marcus Lattimore

I'm hearing Lattimore will be at the game this weekend.

Thats somewhat surprising considering the game that Byrnes is playing friday night....

It would be great for recruiting the defensive players on officials if Miller and Willis could make it back again...

Why do you think he is overrated? He is my #1 back in this class.. where is he in your list?

Have you seen his highlight film? He's breaking tackles but look at who they are against. He's fast but not a real burner. I like a few backs more than Dyer. But that's just me too. I like different players than a lot of people around here.

There is one highlight film of Lattimore where he goes down after first contact on 95 % of his runs....

Was talking about Dyer not Lattimore. Lattimore plays against pretty good competition. I actually don't have a problem with Lattimore I just think we need a different style of RB in this class.

Looking at our depth chart...we have about every style there is...

One rb i am high on that doesn't seem to get a lot of credit is Gore...\

p.s. i was talking about high school kids bringing him down on first contact...not really who the other teams are...

im pretty sure the QB has very little effect on the performance of brown and oku. and idc how much POTENTIAL nuke has, he hasnt done anything at all when hes gotten his chances. i know they are just freshman, but they are not the type of player im talking about when i say burner

A QB has a LOT to do with the performance of a RB.

lol, thats funny. dont know what supposed highlight u were watching but they dont call lattimore "the horse" for nothing. i would say the opposite that 95% of the time he doesnt go down on 1st contact.

I've been talking about Gore a lot on this thread( yeah I know it's the wrong thread)

The only thing about Gore is that his actual offer list isn't that great. He's been rejected by like 4 teams when he tried to commit from what I've heard.

Since you called me out...went back and looked at the video i was talking about...he got the ball 9 times and went down on first contact 7 times...2nd contact 1time...and another carry could be called either way...

Gore is good but undersized... might play DB at next level. Dyer breaks tackles and has the speed that is incredible. Lattimore hasn't impressed me as much. Seastrunk is my number 2.

i just feel like he is over rated.. i dont see dynamic like i do with Dyer and some other backs.

Edit: talking about Lattimore.

I will take your word for it, cant travel there to watch a USCjr prospect. I think he is a good RB and should be in the top 10. However, i think that there are better ones in this class.

Lattimore was scheduled to visit FSU this weekend but has cancelled and will be visiting South Carolina again. He said he is getting tired and wants to slow the recruiting process down....

something on scout about a south 5 -star approaching a decision. picture of lattimore with it. anyone with a subscription want to fill us in?

don't know about the article, but it is probably talking about dyer...who is an auburn lean I believe

In Byrnes vs. Mauldin game, Byrnes won 69-28. Byrnes emptied the bench about halfway through the third quarter. Mauldin played their first team the entire game and scored 3 of their touchdowns against the Byrnes backups.
Running back Marcus Lattimore finished with 13 rushes for 153 yards, including touchdown runs of 39 and 64 yards. He also caught a short pass that he turned into a 40-yard touchdown after bouncing off a couple of defenders.
I wish we had a chance at getting him.

I wouldnt give up Bryce for him.....and thats mostly what kept us out of the running for guys like him and Dyer.

I don't think we are out of the running with any uncommitted RBs and I'd throw Michael Dyer in there as well.

He is a Gamecock fan and I think that is where he is leaning, but I cannot see why a top 3 type back would want to go there.
