NYC knows more than he is letting on about this. He seems very confident about Quarles. He posted a pic of him on the mainboard with just REAVES as the only text.

"It was awesome," Quarles said. "It was the best thing I've ever seen in my life. Spending time with the coaching staff, the Vol walk, just the entire atmosphere was 100% awesome. It was a once in a lifetime experience."

"It was awesome," Quarles said. "It shows how much they are committed to football there with 51,000 at a spring game. I had so many people who knew my name. They were telling me I should come there."

"Not yet," Quarles said. "I'm still debating because I want to sit down and talk about it first. With my dads health, I want to talk it over with my family before I do anything. I'm not going to say I am de-committing and I'm not going to say I'm not. I just need to think everything through, but it's a two team race."

His dad's health is concerning. I'm sure his dad wants him to play for his Alma Mater and close to home.

The loved ones that Quarles is talking about includes his father who suffers from Dialysis and only has one leg. The two are very close and Quarles dad will play an important role in his decision.

"He'll be the one to help me make my final decision," Quarles said. "I want to make sure he gets to see me play. He's more than just my dad. He's like my dad, brother, and best friend. He's everything to me."

that would be selfish of a father to say something like that. hopefully he wants the best for his son and wants him to make the choice that's right for him.

On his dad..

"He loved it up there," Quarles explained. "He said it was my decision, but to just make the right decision that was best for me. He doesn't want me to make my decision off emotion. He wants me to take time and learn everything I need to know."

it sounds like he has a great relationship with his dad and from all of his quotes he seems like a pretty good young man as well, knoxville is not very far away from his hometown so his dad should be able to travel to games nearly as easily as he would to columbia...i really hope we land this one.

The kid grew up a Gamecock fan. To get the kind of reaction out of him that we did bodes well for us considering that. It sounds like we may be the new leader for him.

Between Marlon Brown and DeJuan Blair we get killed when the crazy grandmas get involved.

It doesn't have to be.
