Rex has hedged on Smith, but he's saying USC. 'Course Rex thinks everyone's going to USC. I think Hailes will end up elsewhere and Smith is likely UGA-bound.
The kid grew up a Gamecock fan. To get the kind of reaction out of him that we did bodes well for us considering that. It sounds like we may be the new leader for him.
fwiw our coaches visited greenwood yesterday to visit KQ and his dad, and they called to talk for about 30 minutes afterwards. theyre saying to expect him to firm up his commitment during the summer.

Can coaches even be on the road meeting with prospects yet?
Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think they can..
I don't know much about recruiting, but I think that Kelcy's dad and his health will eventually convince him to stay. When the dust settles it won't matter. Our Dline will be stacked for the future one way or another.
Frankly, it is probably best for his entire family if he stays in SC. Just my opinion.

quarles recently met with brad lawing, our D line coach, and supposedly firmed up his commitment a little. However, I am worried because the floridas and lsus of the world are starting to show a lot of interest in him. If he switches his commitment, I think it will be to UF, LSU, Bama, before UT.
