'10 SC OL Marquis Pair

One step closer to filling a big need. I wish Kiff and Co. had left our O-line recruiting shelves a little more stocked. I'm glad they picked up Pair, Fulton, James, etc....but we needed so many recruits on the line this year!

We can't afford to drop even a single commit on OL - thanks for starting off the trend in the right direction, Marquis!

I am happier with this than I would have been with Ambles. This is where our need lies.

Must be eating buckets of fried chicken.

I don't understand why our lineman are so light. With their frames and collegiate S&C and access to massive quantities of food, there's no reason why these guys can't pack on 30+ lbs of quality lean muscle mass in an offseason. Anyone coming in as a 260 lb Freshman should easily be 290+ by beginning of Sophomore year.

It is nice to see a young athlete taking full advantage of having the opportunity to play early at the top level of college football. This is a great early indicator of the work ethic and dedication he will hopefully bring to the program. I look forward to watching his development.

It''s either a sign of work ethic and dedication or a sign of eating too much fried food...since I'm optimistic I'm going to say it's the former

Some of it has to do with scheme. Zone blocking is a lot different than pound it straight forward.

There is a whole lot of reasons guys can't pack on 30+ lbs of muscle in one offseason. One being steroids are illegal.

Thanks, Fuzzy Zoeller.

Im gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and not call him Fuzzy just yet

I would hope he was just following Coach Dooley's lead when he joked about getting some Fried Chicken served at the traiing table to put some weight on our guys.

I know these guys are top tier athletes, but have you ever tried to put on 30lbs? It really isn't the easiest thing to do, regardless of who you are. Most importantly, to put on that kind of weight, it takes a lot of time.

It's not easy to put on 30 lbs of muscle. 30 lbs is easy to gain in fat.

I think its probably about 50/50 but once he gets on campus he should start to lose the bad weight and gain alot more muscule with Wylie's S&C program.
