10% "Talent Fee" added to ticket prices in 2025

It’s hard for the non season ticket holders to get tickets at face value anyway because the resellers buy them up as soon as they go on sale. This just increases the price the stub hub’s will have to pay. The fan will determine the ouch point and the re sellers will have to adjust pricing accordingly.

They already get paid in the form of a free education. The following is from the UTK website. “The University of Tennessee cost for four years of tuition and fees, room and board, books, and other expenses would be $130,632 for Tennessee residents and $204,312 for out-of-state students.”

While it’s smart, I’m guessing there will be a lot of moaning and groaning about it

There won't be moaning and groaning doing this when we are trending up and have the momentum.....

Just in the last calendar year:

-Hoops Elite 8
-Baseball Natty
-Football early season Top 10 ranking

I suspect we will consistently be strong as long as kids are going where they are getting paid the most and we can overcome the fact we have to convince kids to leave their home states and usually decline their favorite teams growing up to come here. We should be a very strong professional team for years to come.

But that’s before politicians buy votes by promising to forgive student loans.

I have 3 seats - 2 together in X1 and 1 in PP. The donation for the 2 in X1 went up 12%, and the 1 in PP went up 50%. I'll pay it and I'm not complaining - I'm just pointing out that the increase is more than the 10% that they are telling everyone.

10% being for the "talent fee," the ticket is AN AVERAGE of 4.5%

in addition to a football ticket price increase averaging 4.5 percent across all seats.

The problem I have with this increase is that there is already a donation that is meant to help athletes which based on what folks are saying also increased. I haven't looked yet will do that in the coming week as I have to make a decision by the end of the month.

The schedule needs to change to avoid teams like Chattanooga and Kent State. I do understand the benefit to those teams - but you need to increase the value when you increase the cost. We should have at a minimum ONE of those type teams per year.

I have 2 season tickets in DD. These are the prices I have paid for the last 2 years and next year …
2023 - $1,343.76
2024 - $1,543.76
2025 - $1,815.76
